Hemp Oil for Health

Hemp seed carrier oil contains high volumes of linoleic acids, also known as omega-6. These acids offer a variety of health benefits, and hemp seed carrier oil can be used in a few different ways. When applied topically, hemp seed carrier oil can refresh and strengthen the skin, even out the complexion, as well as promote wound healing. It can also calm scalp inflammation and condition hair to improve its texture. Hemp seed carrier oil can act medicinally, facilitating the healing of infections, improving circulation, promoting the body’s detoxification, easing muscle and joint pain, and balancing hormones.

Vision Problems or ADD/ADHD?

Eye coordination and eye movement disorders have very similar symptoms to ADD/ADHD. When you have a child who has difficulty concentrating in school or at home, especially with reading or writing assignments, it is vital that you rule out the possibility that a vision problem may be contributing to your child’s difficulties, before you assume that it’s ADD/ADHD. Not all eye doctors test for vision problems that interfere with reading, learning, and paying attention. To find a doctor near you who provides this type of testing, visit the website for the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, www.covd.org.

Support for Dystonia

Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions, which force certain parts of the body into abnormal, sometimes painful movements or postures. Approximately 50,000 people in Canada have dystonia, which is the third most common movement disorder following essential tremor and Parkinson’s. Dystonia can often be misdiagnosed for extended periods of time. The Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) Canada is the only charitable organization that is dedicated to supporting dystonia patients, and their families, in Canada. The DMRF Winnipeg Support Group is here to help you: bcrow@mymts.net,

Positive Mental Health in the Classroom

School is an important place to help students build self-esteem, self-confidence and a sense of control over their lives. Teachers have an incredible impact on the lives of their students and have a role to play in developing positive mental health. By involving the whole school community, teachers can foster supportive relationships within their classrooms and schools. Your Body is a Bank Account

Think of your body as a bank account. When you eat electron-rich alkaline food, you’re making a deposit in your account, maintaining and investing in your health, fitness, energy, vitality, and weight. When you eat proton-saturated acidic food, you’re making an energy withdrawal from your account. If you withdraw too much, your body will have trouble maintaining a positive balance (pH). When your account is completely depleted of electrons, you are dead. To keep a good balance, you need to limit your withdrawals and make plenty of deposits in the form of electron-rich alkaline food, good fats, and electron-rich water.

Do You Suffer From Hypertension?

Hypertension affects more than one in five Canadians. The Government of Canada states that it is the number one reason for taking medication. Unfortunately, many people have difficulty controlling their blood pressure even with conventional medical treatments. If the cause of your hypertension is due to plaque build-up in your arteries, very often it can be helped naturally. To determine if there is arterial narrowing and restricted blood flow, a simple, non-invasive test using digital pulsewave analysis can be performed. Depending on the results, specific nutritional formulations can be taken to open the arteries, thereby decreasing blood pressure.
