Traditional Family Summer Barn Dance – hosted by Nanaimo Fiddle Society

June 21, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$5

Stay active and healthy with this toe tappin’, traditional Canadian Prairie-style Barn Dance. This fun, multi-generational barn dance features live fiddle music and an experienced caller. Dance experience is not necessary and all dances will be taught and called in circles and lines. This is not a square dance and a partner is not needed. (although most welcome)
Doors open 6:30 and barn dance begins promptly at 7:00 pm.
Ages 1 – 99. Children under 3 will dance in parents’ arms for safety.
$5 per person at door at Cedar Community Hall, 2388 Cedar Rd. South Nanaimo
This is a lively event for seniors, singles, students, couples, grandparents and families young and old. This is a family-friendly, no-alcohol event, perfect for entertaining visitors or celebrating a special birthday or anniversary.
People who prefer not to dance are most welcome to sit back and enjoy an evening of lively Celtic-Cape Breton-Quebecois fiddle music.
Bring a water bottle and a smile. People who wear something western will receive a friendly shout-out from the fiddle band.
