Walk or Run in support of the 141,000 Manitobans living with diabetes.

This April, join Diabetes Canada for its annual Lace Up for Diabetes run/walk at Assiniboine Park. The event features something for everyone—10k/5k timed run, 5k/3k run/walk and kids fun run.
Designed for serious runners, families, corporate teams, and individuals that want to come out and have a good time and support someone living with diabetes!
Prizes for top fundraisers • Food and beverage tent for participants • Games and activities for the entire family • Corporate teams encouraged!
Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions in Canada. Currently, more than eleven million Canadians are living with diabetes or prediabetes.

Funds raised by Lace Up for Diabetes will be used for much-needed research, diabetes education, services and advocacy on behalf of the 141,000 Manitoba children and adults living with diabetes.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes.

Dodgeball 4 Diabetes

With November being Diabetes Awareness month, Diabetes Canada has an opportunity for you and your staff to be a part of a unique event. Before taxes, interest rates and Saturday morning Costco trips, we were all children who, before anything else, wanted to have fun. However, for a child living with diabetes, life isn’t as simple. Between the fatigue, finger pokes and dietary balancing act, having care-free fun requires a lot of planning. Dodgeball for Diabetes is a chance for us to go back to live in nostalgia by playing the ultimate gym class game while supporting all those who have to take extra precaution to join in on the fun.
All the proceeds from this event and future Dodgeball for Diabetes events will be benefitting children living with type 1 diabetes in Manitoba, by supporting Manitoba’s D-Camp, Camp Briardale. The cost to participate is $250.00 per team; each team requires a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 9 members. With limited availability, we anticipate the divisions to fill up quickly. To register, please contact 204-925-6191 or Chris.Ruiz@diabetes.ca.
