Daughter On Call is a privately-owned company that looks to help seniors stay in their own homes as long as possible. We offer a wide variety of services to accommodate each clients individual needs. We are providers for Blue Cross, Veterans Affairs, Manitoba Public Insurance, the Public Trustee, plus other insurance companies. Our founder & CEO is Gail Freeman-Campbell, who has a background in nursing and business administration. Gail has always had a ‘sweet spot’ for the elderly and her passion for caring is what drives our company. Daughter On Call has an incredible team of caregivers to care for your loved ones! They consist of nurses, health care aides, companions, house cleaners & transportation escorts. Our company believes that, regardless of our staff’s education & training, they are all equally important in the operation of the company; therefore, all staff are referred to as “Care Partners”. There are many Care Partners involved when it comes to our clients’ care, such as, the client themselves, family members, friends, our management team, and our staff. Daughter On Call believes in working closely with all care members in order to best meet the needs of each individual client. Our staff have extensive training in caring for the elderly. They all have had criminal record checks, adult abuse registry checks, CPR training and receive in-house monthly education on an on-going basis. Personal Care

Our attentive staff are available to meet all of your hygiene needs, whether it be bathing, showering, washing & styling your hair, helping you get dressed, facial shaving, help with footwear, etc.  Whatever your needs are, we can accommodate them!

Hospital Sitting & Visits

When your loved one is admitted to hospital it can be a confusing time for them.  We have trained sitters that can sit from an hour up to 24 hours a day to ensure your loved one’s needs are met, as well as provide them the reassurance that they have someone right next to them.  This service is especially valuable to those with hearing, sight or dementia impairments that can all present special problems when someone is hospitalized. We also provide this service to those in personal care homes who perhaps are needing a little extra TLC.

Post Surgery Care

Our nurses and health care aides will come into your home to provide any help with things that are now difficult for you to do following your surgery.  These services can range from bathing, to wound care, suture or staple removal, exercise programs, housecleaning, laundry, meal-making, errands, etc.  WE take care of the details, so that you can take the time to heal from your surgery.  We can even provide a special suite at Riverheights Terrace so that you can heal in a beautiful setting!  Perfect if you live in rural Manitoba and need to be close to your doctors or the hospital in Brandon!

Housekeeping

Let our energetic cleaning staff make your home sparkle!  From vacuuming, to washing floors, windows and even the bathroom.  Our cleaners are fast, efficient, and love to clean! Services also include: Medication Administration, Care After GI Scopes, Laundry, Escorts to Appointments, Trips to Winnipeg, Pet Care, Companionship, Respite Care, Wound Care, Alzheimer & Dementia Support & Many More. FEATURED STAFF Catherine enjoys her position with Daughter On Call because the older generation has done a lot, and they are very humble about it. She appreciates the sacrifices many of them have made for our country and the knowledge they have shared with future generations. Catherine has traveled to the East Coast, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and all the way to Vancouver Island. Places she hopes to see include the Grand Canyon and the rest of Canada.
