Hula Hooping is a low-impact playful exercise that is inclusive of all ages, genders, and skill levels. Each class is designed with the total beginner in mind. During each class you will explore hoop movements designed to improve:
- Cardio Endurance
- Posture & Full-Body Strength
- Balance & Coordination
- Muscle Memory & Neuroplasticity
- Mood & Self-Confidence

From the beginning, the goal of Kurrent Motion has been to share the awesomeness of the Hoop! To share hula hooping as a full body workout beyond traditional waist hooping. To promote a fun fitness for all ages, genders, and skill levels.

Our Instructor
Founder of Kurrent Motion, Karrie Blackburn, discovered hooping in the Summer 2009. What began as a fun way to exercise and lose weight, quickly grew in to her passion. Since then, she has traveled to over 15 countries with her hoops learning, teaching, and performing. Karrie is a certified Hoop Instructor through Hoop Play Canada as well as Hooplovers Australia. With over 3 years of teaching experience, Karrie hosts hoop fitness classes in community centres and schools across Winnipeg and Manitoba.
