PREMIER’S COUNCIL AWARDS THE LENDING CUPBOARD

The Alberta Premier’s Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities Awards is given out to honour and publicly acknowledge the efforts and accomplishments of individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations that demonstrate outstanding achievement and leadership in making positive changes that create inclusive, barrier-free communities where persons with disabilities can fully participate. One of the highlights of the award presentations was The Lending Cupboard being the recipient of the Premier’s Council “Award of Excellence in Community”.

The Lending Cupboard is a registered charity that lends medical equipment to the people of Central Alberta. We receive support from a variety of service clubs and private donations. We also receive an annual grant from AHS and rely on other government grants to cover our budget.

The Lending Cupboard provides medical equipment to those who need it. Whether your needs are minor or more serious, we are here to help.

We have an inventory of more than 9,100 items and lend out approximately 1,300 pieces of medical equipment every month.
