Successful Aging

Some people assume that once we reach a certain age our bodies begin an unavoidable downward spiral of decay. While many of us do become stiff as we age, the stiffness could be attributed to holding tension in the body as a result of exposure to physical, psychological, or emotional stressors, rather than from aging itself. Through simple, safe, somatic body movement exercises, patterns of muscle stiffness are unlearned and more successful aging occurs as our bodies remember how to relax and move freely.
