Hair Loss in Women?

Yes, it does happen! Women also lose hair as they age and often notice significant thinning of the hair on their scalp. Topical medications can be used to stimulate hair growth, but one of the most effective treatments is the additional use of platelet rich plasma (PRP) to wake up and rejuvenate dormant hair follicles. Recent studies done in females show an 80% response rate in just three treatments. The treatment is safe and effective, with no known side effects.

A Place to Call Home

How can you tell whether a retirement living community fosters a sense of belonging? The feeling a welcoming and inclusive environment creates sounds like this:
● Millie shares, “I am grateful for my home at the Hamlets; I feel valued and cared for.”
● Jeanette reveals, “I love our Knit Wit Club; volunteers Bonnie and Shirley are wonderful. I love all the outings on our bus and the smiling staff.”
● Dell declares, “I love how the staff are so friendly. I also love the full kitchens in the suites; the dishwasher and full-size fridge are a huge bonus! Really feels like home here.”

Commuting by Bike

“Bike commuting has been my choice of transportation from April to October in the last four years,” says Tatiana Tilly, Red Deer Public Library staff and Cyclovia Committee Member. “I love the sense of freedom that comes with biking in our beautiful city and the purposefulness of bike commuting that allows me to stay healthy and fit at the same time it takes me places. Biking is one of my weight management tools and regulates my low blood pressure.” If bike commuting is something you’d like to do, check out what materials we have in the Red Deer Public Library.

Considering Botox?

Choose your provider carefully. Practitioners with minimal knowledge may perform Botox injections. Make sure the person injecting you is an expert in facial anatomy and aesthetic procedures, such as a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. The face has more than 40 muscles. Each plays an important role in creating facial expression. An inexperienced provider will be less familiar with the anatomy of the face, leading to possible complications and poor results. In fact, less experienced providers may end up using more volume of Botox (costing you more) to achieve the same result, simply because their application is less precise.

Essential Oils for Relaxation

Essential oils are amazing for enhancing relaxation. Simply smelling oils such as lavender, grapefruit, frankincense, neroli, cedarwood, or blends such as “Stress Away,” “Aromaease,” or “Deep Relief” can be enough to calm your nerves. You can add them to Epsom salts for a lovely bath, diffuse them, add your favorite to a spray bottle (plus water) and spray your linens. Try placing a drop on a cotton ball or clothes peg and placing it in your car vent. These are just a few ways to feel the beneficial effects of these pleasant aromas.

Squeaky Clean Facial – Testimonial

People on Vancouver Island are discovering the benefits of a Squeaky Clean Ultrasonic Facial. One happy client wrote, “My skin feels amazing. I kept running my hands over my cheeks and jawline and am so shocked at how smooth my skin feels. Seriously. It is the most beneficial facial I’ve ever had. I still feel like my face is lighter, and almost feels “empty” in a good way. Like before my skin just felt bloated or something. I wish I had discovered this sooner!!” – Kerry . This gentle process is suitable for all skin types as an effective method of skin care.

The Odds of Winning the Lottery

Did you know that regardless of how many people purchase a lottery ticket for any given draw, the odds remain the same? Whether hundreds of thousands of players purchase tickets, or only 3 people purchase tickets, the odds of winning remains the same. If the jackpot grows to $40M or $50M, the odds of winning remain the same as if the jackpot sat at $100K. The odds of winning 6/49 is just less than one in 14 million; winning Lotto Max odds is one in 86 million. Betting on a win is very slim. The odds of losing remain 1:13,999,999 for 6/49.
