Brain Injury Awareness Month
This month, we highlight the importance of compassion, specialized support, and respect for those affected by Brain Injuries. Not all care home residents are elderly – some are younger individuals receiving care and support due to injuries from accidents, strokes or medical conditions where the family cannot provide adequate daily care and support needed. Some individuals recover, however live with daily challenges for the simple daily tasks we take for granted. It is important we recognize and understand the severity, needs and challenges for those affected as it can impact memory, mobility, as well as communication and speech.

Align Your Spine, Elevate Your Health
Chiropractic care supports more than your spine—it plays a key role in your body’s overall function. Your nervous system, which controls every organ and muscle, is housed within your spine. Dysfunction can interfere with nerve communication, leading to a host of symptoms including: fatigue, tension, and even digestive issues. As part of your self-care routine, chiropractic adjustments help restore balance and improve nervous system performance. Incorporating mindful movement, proper hydration, and good posture into daily life complements this care and enhances results. Think of chiropractic not just as pain relief, but as a proactive tool for long-term wellness and vitality.
Summer Denture Care Tips
Summer heat can affect your dentures and oral health. To keep them in top condition, rinse your dentures after meals to prevent buildup and stay hydrated to maintain oral moisture. Avoid leaving dentures in direct sunlight or hot environments, as this can cause warping. Clean them daily with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaner to remove bacteria. For a refreshing feel, store your dentures in water with a bit of mouthwash when not in use. Regular dental check-ups are essential to ensure proper fit and function. Enjoy the summer with a confident and comfortable smile!
