If you get migraine headaches often, you may wonder if there’s anything you can do to prevent them. Botox was approved in 2010 for adults who get chronic migraines. Botox works by blocking chemicals called neurotransmitters that carry pain signals from your brain. Botox is like a roadblock in that pathway. It stops the chemicals before they get to the nerve endings around your head and neck. Studies have shown that Botox cut down the total number of days migraine sufferers have headaches. They also have more “crystal-clear” – pain-free – days each month, and they report fewer days off work.
Vega Testing for Optimal Health
Vega Testing works with a device that is designed to use the acupuncture points in the hand to find any imbalances in the body. When referring to being in balance, the body transmits a vibration unique to each person and resonates it, everything is in harmony. If there is an imbalance, this vibration will show a change and the Vega device will help us in determining the problem. If you experience these symptoms, Vega Testing might be a good option for you: Fatigue, poor concentration, muscle pain, immune deficiency, digestion problems, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, allergies, anxiety, depression, bacterial or viral infections and nutritional deficiencies, among many more.
Purify Your Home
At the heart of GreenTech Environmental’s pureAir product family is the concept of active air purification. Using only moisture in the air, pureAir systems produce elements such as activated oxygen, plasma, and hydroxyls to continuously purify your home. Unlike passive air filters that require air to pass through them to be cleansed, active air purifiers propel oxidizers out to the sources of pollution in your space, continuously cleaning the air. You can now effectively remove allergens, bacteria, viruses, smoke, and all types of odors. Breathe easy knowing that providing your home with healthy air.
Big Shiny Goals
We all have a big shiny goal. It’s exciting to look forward to, but if we only focus on the endgame and miss the smaller markers, it’s going to be an extremely long slog. To me, progress is in the tiny moments. I nearly cried when a woman I’ve been working with told me she could finally bend her arm enough to lick peanut butter off her thumb. Sometimes it takes another person to remind us of how far we’ve come and get excited about the little things. The smaller we can celebrate, the more there is to celebrate along the way – and isn’t that encouraging?
Helping Seniors Eat Healthy
Seniors need to get adequate nutrients from their meals to help them reduce the risk of serious health conditions, stabilize their mood, and maintain their mental health. Retirement communities help meet seniors’ nutrition needs by providing meals that are low in saturated fats and have moderate amounts of unsaturated fat, which promotes a stable body mass index (BMI) and metabolism. Healthy portion sizes support a healthy weight for older adults by preventing excessive calorie intake. If you or a loved one have questions about proper nutrition and eating habits for seniors, reach out to your care provider or retirement community.

Treating Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are usually due to improperly functioning valves within the veins. The veins typically appear prominent or look raised. The condition can cause swelling of the legs, ankles and feet. The skin may become discolored due to leakage of blood into the surrounding tissues, and ulcers may form on the skin. Your Podiatrist may advise use of regular compression stockings or other treatments. We can prescribe compression stockings or order them in for you at Central Alberta Podiatry. If the veins are smaller, we can also treat them with laser for immediate results.
