Take Steps to Protect Your Hearing

Hearing is something we rely on every day—for conversations, connection, and the sounds that make life enjoyable. But many people don’t realize that hearing loss can often be prevented. Exposure to loud noise, untreated ear infections, and certain medications can all impact your hearing over time. The good news is that simple steps—like using ear protection, lowering volume, and getting regular checkups—can help preserve it. A hearing professional can assess your hearing health and guide you in keeping it strong. With a free hearing test and expert care, we’re here to help you protect what matters most.

Stimulate Your Skin’s Healing Power

Micro-needling is a natural, minimally invasive treatment that stimulates your skin’s healing power. Using tiny, sterile needles, it creates micro-injuries that trigger collagen and elastin production – essential components of youthful, healthy skin. This treatment is ideal for anyone seeking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone, and smooth out texture. It’s highly effective for fading scar tissue (including acne scars), supporting rosacea-prone skin, and enhancing overall complexion. Safe for all skin types and tones, microneedling offers a gentle yet powerful way to rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck and other areas. Have questions? Talk to Doreen, your acupuncturist.

Do I Need Sunscreen in September?

It is important to wear sunscreen on exposed skin every month of the year. The UVB, or sunburn rays, are less intense in the fall and winter but can still damage your skin and cause skin thinning, skin cancer, wrinkles, and brown spots. A sunscreen of SPF 50 is recommended when you are outdoors, and it should be reapplied every two hours. If you are inside and away from windows, a reapplication may not be necessary. Be sure to use a generous amount! If you have never used sunscreen, it is not too late to start. It can make a big difference at any age.

Neuromovement® for Pain Relief

Neuromovement® group lessons are also known as Transformational Movement Lessons. Participants are asked to move gently and slowly, and to pay attention to what they feel as they move. It is not about the number of repetitions or effort given, but about feeling connected to your body and moving with ease. These lessons can help relieve muscle tension and pain as well as improve balance, posture, flexibility, and coordination. Lessons are designed to help the brain learn new movement patterns and make new neural connections. Online group lessons start September 18th. It’s not too late to sign up.

Meet the Practitioner: Chrissandra Unger

A few years ago, I was feeling burnt out, processing some past traumas, and had low energy. A lot of self-care and energy adjustments were deeply needed. I read about Biofield Tuning, which made me curious to see what it could do for me. I found an amazing practitioner, and the results were remarkable—my energy returned, and I was able to set more heart desires in motion. I self-cared and studied this method and became a Biofield Tuning practitioner. I now help people with anxiety and depression, energy renewal, fear and grief, adrenal fatigue, and more.
