Community News
What Is Happening Now?

Our facility at Archwood Community Club, 565 Guilbeau Street is still closed until public health orders permit re-opening. We anticipate that as we get more Manitobans vaccinated, we will be able to reopen the physical club in the future. Your safety is our priority. Meanwhile your mental well-being is also a priority, so we have pivoted to on-line programing. E-mails and voice messages are being monitored. Thanks for your continued patience and understanding.

Memberships

While our current on-line activities are free of charge, we do rely on memberships to sustain the club financially especially when we get back to regular programing at the Archwood site. Annual memberships are just $25 and provides you with a voice in business meetings and voting rights at our annual general meeting. Memberships also allow you an opportunity to serve on out board and a variety of communities. Contact is at 204-416-1067 or email [email protected] for more information.

Programs and Events

While we have curtailed some of the on-going on-site programs we have been able to provide a parking lot legal clinic where you can meet with a lawyer outdoors at our club parking lot to assist with your legal needs whatever that may be. These are managed in a pandemic risk reduction mode with social distancing and masks. We will be able to provide ongoing lectures, seminars and education sessions once we are able to assemble indoors and health orders are relaxed.

Connecting Hearing Aids to Your Smartphone

Today’s hearing aids are more sophisticated than ever! One of the greatest advances in hearing aid technology is the ability to pair them to a variety of smartphones. The new functions and abilities of these hearing aids aim to make your life easier and more convenient by giving you unprecedented, personalized control over your hearing experience. This Bluetooth technology lets you send the audio from your phone, tablet, or laptop directly to your hearing aids. Some other benefits of this feature include the ability to stream phone calls, music or driving direction; and even finding your lost hearing aids.
