One of the biggest issues for seniors is that their social circles begin to shrink as the years go by. Friends, significant others and family members move or pass away. Even those who still live close may be inaccessible due to limited mobility, especially once a senior can no longer drive safely. Age-related changes in one’s physical condition, such as hearing loss, can make it so difficult to communicate that it doesn’t seem worth the effort anymore. Local senior centers or agencies are great resources providing home-visitation services as well as community transportation and outings. Do you have a loved one who may be lonely? Try to put in more effort to spend time with them.

Bee Pollen reduces histamine, which is the same target over-the-counter medications act upon. It can be effective for a wide range of respiratory diseases, ranging from asthma to chronic sinus infections. So, what exactly IS bee pollen? High in protein, antioxidants and vitamins, it is one of nature’s perfect superfoods. Forever Bee Pollen is all-natural and contains no preservatives, artificial flavors, or colors. Dig It!
Gardening season is finally here! Whether it’s vegetables or flowers, proper planting techniques are essential to prevent injury. Raised garden beds are wonderful, as they eliminate the need to bend over. If you must bend, you should squat or hinge forward at your hips, engaging your buttock muscles as you rise up. Use a foam pad when kneeling on one or both knees, or try sitting on a garden seat. A wheelbarrow or cart is a great way to move items around that may be awkward to carry. Choose lightweight garden tools with ergonomic handles. Now watch it grow!

What is VOXX HPT?
VOXX HPT is a specific sequence and pattern of neuroreceptor activation on the bottom of the feet which triggers a signal to help your brainstem reach homeostasis. Some mechanisms of homeostasis are body temperature, hormone release, blood sugar and blood pressure. A deviation from any normal set point can cause pain. HPT can reduce pain, increase strength, increase stability and balance, as well as enhance a range of motions and provide for faster reaction times. The VOXX HPT pattern is woven or molded into different iterations of products including hosiery and footwear accessories. The science is proven. The results are extraordinary!
How Old Are Your Arteries?
Your arteries carry oxygen-rich blood from your heart to your entire body. When you’re young and healthy, they’re wide enough to allow the blood to flow through easily, and their walls are elastic, so they can expand and contract as needed. But as you age, your artery walls might harden, as plaque — made up of cholesterol and fat — builds up within them, narrowing the vessels. This process, called atherosclerosis, puts you at risk for heart attacks and stroke. The Meridian Digital Pulsewave Analyzer is an FDA approved cardio wave analyzer that measures arterial stress by tracking the way blood moves through the arteries. It’s non-invasive and takes only minutes to analyze.
A Man’s Worst Enemy
In cardiovascular disease, cholesterol plaques block the arteries in the heart and brain. If a plaque becomes unstable, a blood clot forms, blocking the artery and causing a heart attack or stroke. Cardiovascular disease is the second leading cause of death in Canada. But there are ways to improve this statistic: Get your cholesterol and blood pressure checked and manage your blood sugars. If you smoke, stop. Reduce your inflammation by adjusting your diet, reducing stress and regular exercise.
There’s a saying: children should know their grandparents.
Tips for Stress-Free Travel – Tip #6
Pack Smart.
People perpetually pack more than they need. And yet, the fewer number of items you bring, the more relaxed you will feel your entire vacation. Your muscles and money will thank you!
Make a to-bring list and always double check that you’ve packed all medications and travel documents.
And before your trip, do a full test pack. Remove anything that’s excessively weighty and everything that’s “just-in-case”. We need far less than we think, and in this globalized world, almost any toiletry, food, or clothing item can be picked up at your destination.
