Just Eat Real Food

It’s simple, safe and effective. Eating real food typically eliminates, reverses or halts chronic conditions. Diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer’s, IBS, migraine, Crohn’s, anxiety, high blood pressure, PCOS, excess weight, thyroid, lymph and adrenal system issues, auto-immune conditions, atherosclerosis, poor sleep and allergies are just some of the chronic conditions that respond to a diet of consuming real foods. These conditions occur over years or decades of a poor diet. The body attempts to stay healthy as long as it can, but eventually becomes overwhelmed. Allow your body to heal through the consumption of proper foods. If excess weight is a concern, think of that as just another symptom of improper metabolic function that is likely caused by the same processes that are causing other chronic health conditions. Be in control of your health destiny rather that jumping from pill to pill and treatment to treatment while it continues to decline. You are the author of your own fate.

Your Financial Health Check

There are many dimensions to financial health, including the amount of savings you have, how much you are setting away for retirement and how much of your income you are spending on fixed or non-discretionary expenses. Not being sure of your bank balance, paying bills late and running behind on government remittances are sure signs you have an improper bookkeeping system. Businesses that have competent record keeping always know who owes them money. They have a clear view of the direction they are heading and can have financial reports ready for the bank in a matter of hours. Without proper and on-time bookkeeping you could lose control of the business you have worked so hard to build! Do you pass the ‘Financial Health Check’?

Managing Multiple Medications

When taking medications more than twice a day, the likelihood of forgetting increases. For this reason, it is preferable to use convenience packing / bubble packs to serve as a reminder. This type of packaging can help to space your medications appropriately. Prescription medications can interact with each other, sometimes causing adverse side effects. However, over the counter products such as vitamins or herbal products can also interact with prescription medications – this can potentially change the effectiveness of the drug and cause harm. If you are on prescription drugs, it’s important to have a discussion with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any over the counter products. A pharmacist can also conduct a full medication review with all your prescription and over the counter products and advise you on safe use. If you are on a complex medication regime, a pharmacist is able to help you monitor the effects of your medication.

Put a Little Life into Your Wig

The secret for maintaining your Synthetic wigs looking great is not to over wash them.   The wig can be washed between 4 to 5 weeks of wear and not every week or two weeks. Keeping your scalp clean on a daily basis should work well.  Keep away from direct heat, opening oven doors, steaming veggies on the stove, BBQ’s, Fireplaces, Fire pits, Saunas and hot tubs. Do not use curling irons and Hair blowers on heat.. Heat from the sun will not make it frizz.

Also available are Heat resistant Fibre wigs usually safe up to 350 degrees F. Some have human hair mixed with heat resistant fibres, these look and feel like natural hair. You could cook with these type of wigs but you still don’t want really high heat on the fibers. You can use curling irons at low to medium settings. There are definitely a lot more styles and colors available to from with High-Tech synthetic fibers……The prices for the Heat resistant wigs are approximately half the price of Human Hair wigs.Human Hair wigs are very close to your own natural hair…Exposed to the sun the color will eventually change /oxidize and you will need your stylist to put the color in to revive it.Basically Human hair is more expensive because it is natural hair. Sometimes more difficult to find the exact color and style that you are looking for…You have to look beyond what you are seeing in the mirror as nearly all wigs whether Synthetic or Human Hair will need some thinning, cutting or shaping just for you. Wearing wigs instead of hairpieces will give your own hair a chance to perhaps restore and get healthier.

Extra tip for tax time……When purchasing a wig for medical reasons you are exempt from paying 8% PST with a prescription from you doctor. You can then submit your invoice to Revenue Canada if you don’t have any personal insurance.

Top 5 Ways Oregano Oil Can Help You

1. Defence Against Harmful Organisms. Oregano oil is known as nature’s most potent defender against unwanted invaders.

2. Strong Antioxidant. Antioxidants fight free radicals and oxidation — the process by which your cells age and wear out. Oregano oil contains high levels of antioxidants to help fight damaging free radicals.

3. Supports Good Health. Taking oregano oil is no guarantee that you’ll never get sick, but when you want to avoid what’s going around, oregano oil can be an extra line of defense and provide support against common, seasonal ailments.

4. Digestive System Support. Oregano oil supports digestion by stimulating the flow of bile to your digestive organs. This can help you get more nutrition out of your food and enjoy a more consistent system.

5. Excellent Nutrition. As an excellent source of vitamins A, C, and E, and zinc, magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium, copper, and niacin, oregano oil can be helpful in helping you meet your nutritional requirements.

Puppy Problems

Puppies are obviously adorable! And thankfully so, because when they accidentally bite us or chew something they shouldn’t, it takes every bit of our patience to not get mad. Chewing is a natural, normal behaviour for dogs of all ages and breeds. Puppies need to be watched at all times to prevent them from chewing things they are not supposed to. When we can’t be supervising them, we need to crate them or limit their options of things to chew so they are not a danger to themselves or your property. The most important thing to teach your puppy is to share. Share their toys, food dish, socks, treats, bed area and their “people”. This is essential to prevention of resource guarding (guarding something of value to the dog). With a lot of patience, you can begin to change the dog’s attitude from “Get away from my stuff” to “Would you like a toy?”

Bowen Therapy

Bowen therapy works to alleviate acute and chronic skeletal muscle injury or disorders and nervous system disruptions. Tom Bowen, an Australian who developed this technique in the 1950’s, asserted that everything in the body is interrelated so damage at one site restricts the function of the entire system. Furthermore, the body is self-healing; however, injuries or disruptions can limit this healing response. It is this healing response that Bowen therapy works toward activating, with the goal of allowing the body to heal itself. Studies have shown that in addition to restoring muscle and nervous system integrity, Bowen treatments can shift the central nervous system from the sympathetic (flight and fight) response to the parasympathetic (rest and restoration) response. As a result, it can positively affect physiological functions such as circulation, arterial pressure and heart rate, digestion, sleep, lymphatic circulation, and the endocrine system.
