Physical literacy is the mastery of a range of fundamental movement skills that enable and encourage lifelong participation in physical and sporting activities. It’s the philosophy that underpins physical education in schools, and more and more, it’s being seen as the most effective antidote to childhood obesity and the many problems associated with our increasingly sedentary lifestyles. Sportball champions physical literacy by focusing on and promoting building skills for life, including sport skills, pro social skills, and motor skills. Sportball’s curriculum teaches physical literacy through its methodology, in which all games, activities, and instructions have a purpose and expected outcome.
Freedom at Any Age
These days the mobility market is full of possibilities. Rather than being confined to the inside of your home or relying on friends and family to take you out, consider the freedom of a mobility scooter. Battery powered scooters have come a long way and are now more affordable than ever. They provide the freedom to get around, they conserve physical energy, and they also provide you access to places you may not have previously been able to go. Along with the freedom, mobility scooters offer an element of safety.
Are You Ready to Age in Place?
As our population continues to age, senior home care services are becoming increasingly vital. These services provide elderly individuals with the support they need to maintain their independence and dignity while aging in place. Just Like Family Home Care offers practical assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing, meal planning and preparation, companionship, and emotional support. With the right care and attention, seniors can live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives in the comfort of their own homes.
Time for a Pedicure!
Keeping your feet in tip-top shape is important, not just so they look good, but also to keep them healthy. Pedicures are a luxurious, relaxing experience, but they provide many other benefits too: 1) Helping retain the moisture in your skin to prevent cracking, blisters, and other problems. 2) Reducing the risk of infection and ingrown nails by cleaning and cutting nails. 3) Removing dead skin cells by exfoliating to help prevent bunions or corns. 4) Promoting blood circulation and relieving tension in the calves and feet through massage. If you’re having a spa day, don’t forget about your feet!
Another Reason to Smile:

Tetra Society of NA – Regina Chapter
Tetra recruits volunteers who work with clients to design and build assistive devices that are custom-made for the individual – these are devices that are either not available commercially or cost-prohibitive. As a non-profit organization, Tetra raises funds to deliver this program, including covering the costs of volunteer travel and materials for devices up to $500 per project.
Tetra’s core focus is to address barriers that affect a person’s ability to live life independently due to obstacles in their environment. One of Tetra’s founding principles is that people are not marginalized by their disability, but by obstacles in their environment. Tetra works to reduce or eliminate these obstacles. Over the past 30+ years, Tetra volunteers have built devices that support:
- Communication
- Eating and drinking
- Completing household chores and personal care
- Mobility

Finding the Right Matchmaker
Curious about seeking out matchmaking services, but don’t know where to start or what to look for? While many people may advertise themselves as matchmakers, it takes a special skillset to truly excel. Some important questions to ask prior to investing in a matchmaking service include: 1) How long has the company been in business? More than 5 years is ideal. 2) Are they upfront with their fees and do they have a legal contract? 3) Do they have any references? 4) Do they have a professional website and social media presence? 5) What is their process?

Abundance and Receiving
How willing are you to receive in your life? If receiving has been a challenge for you, reflect on how tuned in you are to your feminine energy (we all have both masculine and feminine energy within us). When we turn on our feminine energy, we can receive, surrender, slow down, and be more present. Embodiment Breathwork Sessions allow you to tune into your feminine energy and womb space to release and surface unprocessed emotions and traumas our body holds onto that may be preventing us from receiving the abundance in our life that we all have access to!
