This guarantees that your wishes are observed and spares your family from undue pressure at a time of great emotional stress. Having final plans in place is a blessing when passing is anticipated. With an unexpected death, they are even more important. An unexpected death can bring overwhelming grief, guilt and anger. These feelings can make it very difficult to plan an end-of-life service that respects the wishes of a loved one. Preplanning is a special gift to give your family. We can help.

Gratitude is Very Powerful

October is Thanksgiving month in Canada. Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and thankfulness. Being grateful for what you have is very powerful. Are You Drinking Enough Water?

Feel tired all the time? Have no energy? Dehydration could be the cause. Since our bodies are 55 – 60% water, even a small deficit can result in health issues. To ensure that you stay well hydrated, it is important to drink at least two litres of water a day. Health benefits of water include: *more energy, *potential weight loss, *flush out toxins, and *helps the body regulate temperature. Start your day with a glass of water and drink a glass every couple of hours; more often if you are outside or exercising. Raw fruits and vegetables are a great way to increase water consumption.

Reluctant to Accept Help?

It can be difficult to accept help. Seniors often associate accepting help with losing their independence. It sometimes feels that by accepting help, we are telling the world that we are no longer able to live independently. Installing a medical alarm system can increase your independence and reduce the risks of living alone or being left alone in your home. In fact, with a locally monitored system, you may be able to remain in your own home, comforted by the fact that if something should happen, help is just a button push away.

Why Men’s Vigor?

We understand. Sexual health and performance is a topic that men are reluctant to talk about. Research states that 40% of men have experienced some sort of sexual performance anxiety by the age of 30, and that percentage often increases with age. We all want to feel strong, confident and have intimacy with our partner. While drug therapy is the typical approach to treating inadequate blood flow, it only provides a quick fix solution and does not address the underlying physical condition. Men’s Vigor is a way to get back in the game safely and effectively. No drugs, no surgery, no downtime. Health Canada Approved.

Diabetes Symptoms and Prevention

It is important to know the common symptoms of diabetes. *Fatigue and drowsiness, *Frequent urination, *Increased thirst or hunger, *Weight change, *Blurred Vision, *Frequent or reoccurring infection, *Tingling or numbness of hands or feet, *Cuts or bruises that are slow to heal. Untreated hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) can lead to serious health problems. The good news is that Type 2 diabetes is usually preventable by keeping your weight under control, eating a healthy diet, not smoking and being active on a daily basis. Please speak to your health practitioner if you have any concerns.

Move Your Lymph To Help Your Body Detox

Are you doing all the right things and still don’t feel well? The lymphatic system is an integral part of your body’s detox mechanism and its proper functioning is essential for your body to be able to drain toxins. There are some easy steps you can take to support your lymph. *Drink good quality, pure water. *Wear loose-fitting clothes. *MOVE. Your lymphatic fluid moves when your body moves. Unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump. Low-intensity, sustained exercise is amazing. Go for a walk, swim, get into gardening, bounce on a trampoline! Your lymphatic system will appreciate it.

Single-Event Sports Betting

The CBC article, “Conservative MP says the Saskatchewan government has ‘dropped the ball’ on single-event sports betting, featured Waugh’s Bill C-218, also known as the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act”. Bill C-218, passed by the Canadian Senate and received Royal Assent in June 2021, came into force in August 2021. The legislation allows provinces and territories to conduct and manage single-event betting on any sporting event except horse racing. In November, the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) announced that BC residents had placed more than $25 million in single-event sports bets within two months of the legalization.
