In this series, we find and follow the thread that binds biology, psychology, and theology (aka the body, mind, and soul). Many are suffering from the symptoms of being identified as the body and the mind. But we are not these things; we are the knower, the experiencer, the witness. The first step to releasing suffering is to remember who and what we are, and understand the beautiful tools, or instruments, that the mind and body were created to be. Join us as we explore the physical body and the subtle body – made up of mind, intellect, and energy – and the experiencer of it all.
There Is No Quick Fix
Post-holiday debt can pile up quickly. Rising interest rates and the cost of living, food and fuel can become very overwhelming. Sometimes gambling can be seen as a quick fix to achieve financial relief. When we’re vulnerable, gambling can cost us more than money; it can also cost our relationships, our mental and physical health. If finances are tight, seek credit counselling; talk to your bank or financial advisor. Gambling is meant to be entertainment and not a solution to financial problems. Reach out to us here at VI Gaming Support. We’re here to help!
Healthy Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients: 1 ½ cup almond flour (packed), 2 tbsp maple syrup, 3 tbsp melted coconut oil. Optional: ¼ tsp salt, ½ tsp vanilla extract, ½ tsp almond extract. Directions: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium-size mixing bowl, add all the ingredients. Squeeze the dough with your hands to bring ingredients together. If too wet, you can add more almond flour. Scoop the dough with a measuring tablespoon and roll it into a ball. Use a fork to flatten each cookie. The thinner, the crispier they will be. Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly golden and slightly hard on top.
What is Holistic Dentistry?
In holistic dentistry, the mouth is viewed as an integral part of the digestive tract, which is crucial to overall health. A holistic dentistry practitioner takes time to educate patients on key nutrients for systemic and emotional health, the importance of restful oxygenated sleep and proper digestion, and the dangers of infected teeth and gum inflammation. Specialized technology is used in holistic dentistry, such as PRF, ozone, lasers and CBCT imaging, to properly diagnose and manage disease. In addition, only biocompatible materials are used, as opposed to ‘tolerable’ ones such as BPA-free composites, zirconia, and no amalgam silver fillings.
Need a Lift?
Have you ever found yourself unable to get out of your chair? Although it looks like a regular recliner, a lift chair is designed with mechanisms that help it to act as a mobility aid. You can choose from a two position, three position, or infinite position chair, depending on whether you want to recline fully. There are lift chairs available to suit a variety of budgets and mobility needs!

To Love & Serve
We are living in great change, where our planet is evolving at a heightened pace and needs our help. Each of our souls have chosen to be here at this time. We can choose how we put our love into action. December 21st the darkest day of the year, a wonderful opportunity to plant seeds for what we desire. A time to reflect on our own lives and make the necessary changes to support humanity and our planet in loving ways. When we open our hearts in love, share our skills, talents and kindness, we give to others, and we serve. When we stay calm and loving with our children and parents, we actively build community full of love and gratitude.
Mobile Sports Betting
Mobile sports betting is becoming normalized in our society. Advertisements abound, as do apps and opportunities to play. Unlike traditional parlay betting on 2-3 games and waiting for the outcome of a game, modern sports betting is usually done on a phone app that includes single games, in-game, and prop betting options. These micro-bet opportunities and early cash out features mimic day trading behaviours and language. If your play is based on emotions and reactions with little time to reflect before you place that bet, it might lead to problematic gambling. Take a break. Tap out. Avoid bet regret.
Kids’ Holiday Dental Care
With all of the fun and excitement of the holiday season, it can be easy to forget about dental hygiene essentials. Here are 5 tips for kids’ holiday dental care: 1) Eat fruits and veggies – make eating these foods fun and kids will enjoy them! Cut into shapes or create artistic plate presentations with them. 2) Drink plenty of water – it’s good to stay hydrated and water helps wash away sugar and food on your teeth. 3) Schedule brushing and flossing time. 4) Brush before and after snacking to avoid cavities. 5) Schedule an end of year dental cleaning.
Ask The Expert
Q: Is it a good idea to get laser surgery so I don’t need reading glasses any longer? A: That’s a tough one. You’d have to speak to your eye doctor about the way your eyes are focussed. In general though, corneal refractive surgery is usually meant as a correction for nearsightedness (as opposed to presbyopia, the age-related difficulty in focussing on close objects), and you’re likely not an ideal candidate for that kind of laser surgery.
