May is Mental Health Month in Canada. People are encouraged to learn and talk with others about mental health issues. The most common mental health issues are anxiety disorders, major depression and bipolar disorder. These medical conditions can affect many different aspects of a person including; Thought processes, Emotions, Behaviours, Capacity to connect with others and Ability to cope with stress. To promote mental health well-being, engage in regular physical activity, maintain social connections, pursue hobbies, and seek professional help if needed. It’s also important to have open communication about mental health.
