Harmony Warrior Kids Yoga

Jen and Kim created Harmony Warrior Kids Yoga in 2016.

With one tiny spark, Harmony Warrior Kids Yoga grew into a flame! Kim and Jen became great friends through pre/postnatal yoga practice as they were growing their own families. They taught pre/postnatal yoga classes side by side in their community for about a year together before they began organizing various yoga fundraising events for local charitable organizations.

As their children were growing and becoming interested in yoga classes, they decided that together they wanted to bring yoga to all children in their community from toddlers to teens.

Jen and Kim are so excited to have the opportunity to share the limitless benefits of yoga with your children.  Just like adults, children live in a fast-paced world with many stressors and expectations. The practice of yoga helps to bring minds and bodies back into a place of harmony and balance.

Our Mission – To teach kids how to live and breathe as warriors of harmony for themselves and for the world they live in;  to recognize and allow their unique beauty to shine through into each day.

Party services include a 45-minute yoga class at the location of your choice (home, park, community center. etc) electronic or printed birthday invitations, kid-sized yoga mat rental, custom yogi goody bags,  and a special gift for your birthday boy or girl.

Integrating yoga into the classroom

We are excited to work with all grade levels leading Harmony Warrior Kids Yoga classes.

We recognize that kids need yoga in their lives.  We welcome the opportunity to work alongside educators, parents and communities to help teach youth to breathe, move and live as warriors of harmony for themselves and the world around them.

Student lives can be very challenging for a multitude of reasons. Every child has the right to feel inspired, to live fully in the moment and to embrace every opportunity with confidence.

We believe that Harmony Warrior Kids Yoga teaches more than physical poses and at the end of the day, children who have been exposed to yoga will better understand how to remain calm in the eye of a storm.

We have created fun, engaging and interactive yoga classes for grades K-12, which are all-inclusive and can be easily adapted to suit the needs of the school and the students.

Packages and Rates

Yoga classes will be up to 40 minutes all inclusive and split by appropriate age groups/classrooms at your  discretion.

Full day – $525 + gst
Includes: 2 yoga instructors leading
up to 8 classes, in one full school day. 

Half day – $350 + gst
Includes: 2 yoga instructors leading
up to 4 classes,  morning or afternoon.

Teachers Need Yoga Too – $125 + gst
Includes: same day 60 minute class    (before/after and lunch sessions available for booking)

  • Options available to add more days   (Ask us about our 5 or 10 day booking rates!)
  • Yoga mats will provided by HWKY for day use only (limited quantity)
  • Yoga mats available for school purchase, subject to availability

 

Growing Roots Therapy

Growing Roots Therapy offers therapeutic services and interventions for children,youth and families. We work with families to address concerns related to behaviour, anxiety, grief/loss,separation,family stress,trauma and other concerns. We work from a play therapy approach and use creative methods such as puppetry, sand tray, storytelling and art. We also offer parent/child/caregiver relationship counselling using a method called: Theraplay. Beyond our one-on-one and family sessions in our Therapeutic playroom, we also offer professional development for other professionals and workshops for caregivers.

We are fully qualified with Master’s level therapists who have undergone specialized training in working with children and play.

Diabetes Research Group

The Diabetes Research Group runs clinical trials on innovations in care, patient education, and treatment of diabetes and related disorders. Manitobans interested in participating in a study can contact the Diabetes Research Group and will be triaged by a nurse and then contacted again if they qualify for specific trials. Participants in trials frequently receive diabetes education, case management services and have medical supplies provided. What patients receive does depend on the specifics of the trial they are involved in, however, and a consent form must be signed prior to participating.
