According to the World Health Organization (WHO), healthy food protects you against many chronic, non-communicable diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Recent reports have shown that when people increase their fruit and vegetable intake, they report higher levels of happiness and mental health, whereas poor diets have been linked to depression. Thanks to donations and community support, the SOS Meals on Wheels program is able to offer local residents healthy, affordable meals, delivered to their doors.
