Q: My sister-in-law said she had a stroke in her eye. Is this really a thing? A: Yes – if you can imagine a stroke as interrupted blood flow to the brain, the same problem can occur to the nerve tissue within the eye when an artery in the retina becomes blocked. This can result in some vision loss, but more importantly can be an indicator of other unhealthy arteries in the body.
