What is Emotional Reflexology?

The body remembers what the head forgets. Emotional reflexology sessions were developed to detect the negative emotions, limiting beliefs and fixed mindset patterns trapped in cellular memory that steal time by keeping thoughts focused on reliving the past or being fearful of the future. The emotional connection to old memories may be released, giving you freedom to be mindful in the present. These sessions do not diagnose. They reveal imbalances influencing mental, physical and emotional dis-ease that create unnecessary stress. This therapeutic modality provides 60 relaxing minutes to dispose of yesterdays worry and let go of burdens so that you can feel lighter.

Children and Coronavirus

Here are some tips when talking to your children about Coronavirus;
DO: – Tell the truth about how you feel. It will make it safe for your child to do the same. – Remember that every child has a unique perception about what they hear and believe about COVID-19. – Listen with your heart, not your head. Allow kids to share their emotions without judgment or criticism. DON’T: – Don’t say “Don’t feel sad.” Sadness is a healthy and normal reaction to the possibility of someone they know getting sick. – Don’t make promises that you cannot keep. Instead of saying “Everything’s going to be okay,” say, “We’ll do everything we can to be safe.”

Urinary Incontinence & the Pelvic Floor

Weak pelvic floor muscles can result in urinary incontinence, which is the involuntary leakage of urine. The three different types of urinary incontinence include: 1. Urge, which is the sudden, intense urge to urinate frequently. 2. Stress incontinence, which is when exerted pressure on the bladder causes leakage. This can be caused by coughing, laughing, sneezing, or exercising. 3. Mixed incontinence, which is a combination of the first two types. Your pelvic floor muscles play an important role in controlling continence and supporting pelvic organs. Visit us at Bare Envy Laser and Massage to experience this revolutionary treatment!

Handwashing Can Prevent Illness

Handwashing is an effective way to help prevent the spread of germs and infection, as hands are one of the major ways in which infections are spread. Most people touch their faces numerous times a day, sometimes without even realizing it, and can transfer germs from surfaces to their eyes, nose, and mouth. The proper way to wash your hands is to wet your hands with water, lather your hands with soap (including the back of your hands, under your nails, and between your fingers) and scrub for at least 20 seconds, rinse your hands well, and dry them thoroughly.

Hearing Loss and the Risk of Falling

A study led by Frank Lin, an assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, suggests that hearing loss may also be a risk factor for a huge public health problem: falls. The study found that people with a mild hearing loss, were nearly three times more likely to have a history of falling. Every additional 10-decibels of hearing loss increased the chances of falling by 1.4 fold. If you or a family member are concerned about hearing loss, visit your local hearing specialist today.

Preventing and Treating Gum Infections

Gum infections can affect your whole mouth, so preventing them is important. Brushing your teeth with a fluoridated toothpaste twice a day and flossing thoroughly once a day, as well as rinsing with anti-gingivitis mouthwash, can help keep your gums healthy and infection-free. Seeing your dentist for a cleaning every six months is also crucial. If gum infection does occur, treatments such as antibiotics, salt water rinses, root planing (deep cleaning to the roots), and gingivectomy (removing infected tissue) can help. Seeing your dentist regularly can help you avoid gum infection issues and protect your overall oral health.
