“WorkSafe Saskatchewan reminds every worker of their three fundamental rights in the workplace: The right to know what hazards are present, the right to participate in keeping the workplace healthy and safe and the right to refuse dangerous work. These rights are protected under The Saskatchewan Employment Act. When workers speak up and employers listen, everyone benefits. Safety is a shared responsibility—and it starts with knowing your rights. Together, we can make Saskatchewan workplaces safer.”

Giving your Product/Service a Voice
Not every product or service is easy to Promote. Some require more than a catchy slogan or a quick visual Ad—they need context, explanation, and definition. That’s where the power of an editorial comes in. Unlike a traditional visual advertisement, an editorial allows you to provide information, health benefits or tips, and the ability to explain why your product/service matters, or how it can solve a problem, alleviate pain, or assist with a situation. Readers engage with editorials differently than they do with Visual Ads. They’re not just being told to buy something—they’re being educated and informed beforehand.
Clean Furnace – Healther Air
Regular furnace cleaning is crucial for your health, furnace efficiency, safety, and cost savings. Safety is paramount, as dust or soot buildup can lead to fire hazards and carbon monoxide leaks. It also improves indoor air quality by reducing the circulation of allergens and pollutants. Routine maintenance prevents costly breakdowns and aligns with warranty requirements and ensures the air you are breathing in is clean. Overall, it provides peace of mind that your heating system is reliable, efficient, and ready to keep your home safe and warm when needed, making it a wise investment.
Thermography and Breast Health
October is breast cancer awareness month, and preventative health care and early detection are important factors when it comes to breast health. DITI (Digital Thermal Imaging) or Thermography is a non-invasive assessment tool using an infrared camera. This helps to visualize inflammation and dysfunction in the body to assess problems in the vascular, muscular, neural, and skeletal systems. For breast health, DITI can help create a baseline of healthy breast activity, and yearly DITI follow-ups can help detect potential physiological changes and abnormalities. Since DITI looks for changes in physiology, it can be a great secondary measure alongside mammography.
Foster Animals, Save Lives
Fostering is a rewarding way to help animals in need without a lifelong commitment. By opening your home, you prepare shelter animals for adoption, free up kennel space, and prevent overcrowding. Fosters must be 18+, have landlord approval if renting, and complete orientation training. We provide training, supplies, and medical support. Once certified, you’ll be notified when an animal needs a foster home—simply reach out to arrange pickup and help save a life.

PCOS Is Multifactorial & Manageable
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is more than a hormone imbalance. It’s a multifactorial condition shaped by genetics, insulin resistance, inflammation, and reproductive hormone shifts. That’s why symptoms can look so different, irregular cycles, acne, hair thinning, weight changes, fatigue, or mood fluctuations. The good news: each factor offers an entry point for healing. By supporting ovulation, balancing androgens, improving insulin sensitivity, and calming inflammation, women with PCOS can see real progress in energy, skin, cycles, and long-term health. At Uptown Integrative Health, we take the time to create individualized treatment plans that address the many layers of PCOS – helping women restore balance and feel empowered in their bodies.

Screen Time and Vision Health
In today’s digital world, many people spend hours on phones, computers, and tablets, which can strain the eyes and impact vision. Prolonged screen use often leads to digital eye strain, causing symptoms such as dryness, blurred vision, headaches, and difficulty focusing. Staring at screens reduces blinking, which lowers tear production and worsens dry eye symptoms. To protect vision, follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Adjusting screen brightness, maintaining good posture, and using blue light filters and ocular lubricants can also help. Regular eye exams are essential for long-term digital use eye health.
Healthy Mouth, Healthy Life
We all want to be healthy, however many people disregard their oral cavity and teeth (whether real or false). The body is a holistic and interconnected system, one that can only function optimally if everything runs smoothly. Old or ill-fitting dentures can cause an array of health issues. From headaches, digestive problems, temporomandibular joint pain (TMJ), and hearing loss. Also social isolation may occur if you are unhappy with your smile because of missing teeth or old dentures. It’s imperative to see the right specialist for any health issues. When it comes to dentures see a denturist first.
