What’s Up with the Cups?
The Myofascial Cupping Technique™ involves the gliding of negatively pressurized cups over the body with the assistance of massage cream and can be accompanied by joint mobilization. It is a very different technique to traditional cupping and, importantly, marking the skin is NOT part of the desired treatment outcome. It also should be performed at a pressure level that is almost painless to the client. It is unique in that it ‘lifts and separates’ soft tissue, which can increase nutrient-rich blood supply to the tissue, while giving a gentle passive stretch to the underlying soft tissue.

Allergy Season is Upon Us
After a snowy winter and wet spring breakup, we’re often left with an abundance of tree and grass pollen that is released into the wind. This can wreak havoc for seasonal allergy sufferers, triggering symptoms like congestion, itchy eyes, sneezing, headaches, and more. Keeping a clean house and taking your workout routine indoors for the duration of the allergy season may help. A quick trip to the pharmacy for some antihistamines may also offer you the relief you need. Antihistamines block your body’s response to allergies, and usually work within an hour of taking them. For more serious congestion, nasal sprays may be a more effective solution.
Maintenance is Key
Just like natural teeth, dentures wear down over time. Your mouth and jaw experience change over time as well, so your dentures may become ill fitting. It is wise to see your denturist at least once a year to ensure your dentures continue to fit well and work properly. In most cases and with optimum care, dentures should last between 5 and 10 years, but may require adjusting or relining within that time frame. Being proactive with denture care is always more effective than waiting until you have a major problem and trying to backtrack.
Chiropractic for all Life Stages
Chiropractic care is used to restore proper function to the nervous system and aims to heal your body naturally by use of gentle spinal adjustments and conservative manual therapies. Chiropractic care is encouraged through all stages of life. Infants should have an initial gentle spinal adjustment to correct any trauma from birth and as they grow older, there is the inevitable falls and injuries. The elderly can be relieved of pain through adjustments by helping ease the tension brought on from common health ailments such as arthritis and inflammation in the joints, when other procedures are considered too risky due to their frail condition or medications they are on.
