At least 1 in 4 Canadians deal with an anxiety disorder in their lifetime. In response, RDPCN designed an interactive 8-week group program based on cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness. Participants learn to challenge their thoughts, behaviors and emotions, and make healthy lifestyle choices. A recent participant shared, “The program gave me a plan and the skills to feel better. It helped me be accountable to myself and it was life changing.” 100% of past participants viewed it as a positive experience and experienced a decrease in their anxiety (53% average decrease). Feel good, shine bright and watch those around you benefit.
Beyond Setting SMART goals
You know how goals should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely? Let’s add to that! Find a role model for a new approach or try visualizing. Say consistent positive affirmations or meditate to maintain focus – even small acts help and release doubts. Read, learn, and listen to things that will aid you on your quest. REALLY believe in yourself. You can do this! If it’s not perfect, relax. Next time will be better. Know that even if not all your goals are met, they will be there when you are ready for the next set of triumphs. Keep that passion burning!

Need a Lift?
A micro-current facelift is a non-invasive anti-aging treatment that is becoming incredibly popular among men and women. What’s great about this treatment is that there is zero downtime! You can come receive a facelift on your lunch break and go back to work with no redness. The treatment works on toning your facial muscles, making you look years younger. There is no pain involved, and there are no side effects or damage to your skin. This safe and natural facelift is beneficial for improvement in the appearance of aged and slackened skin, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, dark circles and puffiness, enlarged pores, and muscle tone.
Why are Sunglasses Important?
Sunglasses are more than a fashion statement; their most important role is protecting your eyes and the surrounding skin from the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays. Damage to the eyes includes cataracts, macular degeneration, pterygiums, and cancer. Extended exposure to UV can cause photokeratitis, also known as snowblindness, a temporary but extremely painful sunburn of the eye. Sunglasses also block glare, which increases comfort in bright light. When buying sunglasses, look for ones that block out at least 99% of both UVA and UVB radiation, so you can keep your eyes healthy and your vision clear. A wide-brimmed hat offers great protection, too.
A Rock of Healing
Labradorite is an uplifting crystal, helping to banish fears and insecurities while enhancing faith and trust in the universe. Labradorite strengthens natural energies from within and awakens a sense of adventure and change. It calms an overactive mind, energizes the imagination, brings in new ideas, and helps return joy into one’s life. It helps to eliminate the emotional drain of daily routine or heavy responsibilities. Lore of the Inuit peoples claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis, shimmering in a mystical light that separates the waking world from unseen realms. It is, in every sense, a stone of magic, a crystal of shamans, diviners, and healers.
Consider Massage for Arthritis
Massage can help to relieve many of the common symptoms of arthritis by reducing pain and stiffness, improving the range of motion in joints, helping to ease anxiety, and promoting a more restful sleep. People who experience chronic arthritis symptoms may want to consider using massage therapy on a regular basis to help manage their symptoms. Massage using moderate pressure can help lower the amount of the stress hormone cortisol in the body, while also boosting the mood-improving hormone serotonin. It has also been found to lower the production of a neurotransmitter substance that is often linked to pain.
