Dentures vs Implants

Dentures are removable teeth which replace the natural teeth, and cover a portion of the gum. Your denturist will recommend either full dentures, which replace all the natural teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw, or a partial dentures, which replace some of the lost natural teeth. Dental implants, on the other hand, consist of an anchor or screw-like component that is fastened into the jawbone, then the denture is attached to the implant to hold it into place. Speak with your local denturist to learn more, and which option is right for you.

Quit Smoking this Winter

As the weather gets cooler, the longing to get cozy and stay inside with loved ones increases. Having even one cigarette outside in the cold (and temperatures will keep dropping!) takes you away from this. Why not look for better ways to deal with stress and pain that allow you to stay inside and improve your health at the same time? Consider a cardio workout at the gym – this way you can blow off steam and pump healthy endorphins through your body. Then your loved ones will see you bettering yourself in ways that you may be proud they follow.

Keep a Healthy Home This Winter

As a homeowner, it is your responsibility to help keep your household warm and cozy in order to keep your loved ones comfortable and healthy. With colder temperatures approaching, it’s a good time to consider the health of your home’s furnace. As a rule of thumb, if your furnace is older than 15 years, or it needs frequent repairs, it may be time for a replacement. Scheduled tune-up services are essential for thwarting off the need for repairs, especially emergency service. Regular maintenance makes it possible for a heating expert to monitor your furnace and make minor repairs and adjustments along the way. This keeps your system in the healthiest condition possible.
