Overcoming Dentist Anxiety

Dental phobia has become ingrained into our society with phrases like ‘pulling teeth’ being used to mean difficult and unpleasant. As a result, an important part of the dentist’s role has become putting the patient at ease, making them secure and comfortable. Those with dental phobia tend to avoid dentists. Putting off regular checkups is a good way to end up with gum disease or other problems. If you are a person who suffers from dental anxiety, ask about oral sedation and nitrous oxide. Your dentist will work with you to find a way to alleviate the stress.

Good Nutrition & Digestion = Good Health

No matter how clean, organic, and healthy you eat, if your body isn’t able to digest, absorb, and process essential nutrients properly, you are not benefitting from your efforts.
To do this, your stomach needs to fully digest, your intestines need to completely absorb, and your liver needs to properly process the food you eat.
One of the simplest ways to correct and improve any issue you may have with the digestive process is through nutritional testing.
If a weakness is found in a specific organ, nutritional supplementation can be added to your diet to improve the digestive process and in turn, help you benefit from your wise choices.

The top three are: 1) Family – Proceeds from your estate can pass seamlessly from you to your loved ones, as long as you have named a beneficiary. 2) Charities – You can donate through a Beneficiary Designation with Registered Plans (like RRSPs, RRIFs, or TFSAs) or bequest a gift in your will. 3) CRA – Without a will, the government and CRA could end up in control of your assets.

March 3 is World Hearing Day

Hearing often declines with aging. For some it is very slow and for others hearing loss happens very quickly. Having your ears checked for wax build up should be something that you do annually if not more often, especially if you wear hearing aids. Why, because wax build up can affect hearing. You should also have your hearing tested to see if you require hearing aids. Not being able to hear is one of the reasons people do not engage in social activities because they can’t hear what is being said and the larger the group the harder it is to figure out what is being said. There are numerous hearing centres in Red Deer think about having your hearing checked. It could make all the difference in your quality of life and how you interact with the world around you.
