Balance Your Hormones

What does hormonal imbalance look like? Hot flashes, night sweats, bloating, pain, irritability, brain fog, irregular cycle, and fatigue are just some of the symptoms. If you suffer from any of these symptoms and haven’t been able to find relief, why not try balancing your hormones naturally. Biofeedback testing and treatment helps to detect imbalances and stimulates hormone producing organs to balance the body. Another effective option is to get your body tested to see if it is lacking specific hormone related nutrients. If you are, natural nutritional formulations can be taken to correct the hormonal imbalance and relieve your symptoms.

Why Do I Have Shoulder Pain?

Our shoulders are amazing joints that provide a great range of motion. The rotator cuff, a group of four muscles, provides much of this control, along with many other muscles that connect to the shoulder blade. Injury and pain can happen here, whether an acute injury or pain that develops over time. Current evidence would suggest that strengthening the shoulder is the best course of action for many shoulder injuries and shoulder pain. Your physiotherapist is a highly trained professional who can guide you to getting your shoulder stronger so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.

Guided Meditations Inspire

Meditation connects us to our inner guidance and intuition. When we can quiet our inner chatter and create calmness from within, it allows us to interact with our outer world in a calmer way. We can’t always control what comes our way, but we can make choices about how we react. Guided meditations are a great way for beginners to get started. You don’t have to think about what you’re doing, simply follow the voice and go inwards. Behind your resistance is fear that holds you back from making change. Hearing Aids & Summer

As temperatures rise, it’s important to understand how to take care of your hearing aids. Beware of Heat! Avoid putting your hearing aids in places that attract heat quickly – like the glove compartment or console in your car. Stay Away from Moisture! Remember to take your hearing aids out before swimming or if you’re caught in the rain. Keep ‘em Clean! Warm, humid weather creates a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. You can use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away dirt and debris from your hearing aids. Follow these simple tips and get outside to enjoy the warm weather.

Coping with Senior Isolation

One of the biggest issues for seniors is that their social circles begin to shrink as the years go by. Friends, significant others and family members move or pass away. Even those who still live close may be inaccessible due to limited mobility, especially once a senior can no longer drive safely. Age-related changes in one’s physical condition, such as hearing loss, can make it so difficult to communicate that it doesn’t seem worth the effort anymore. Local senior centers or agencies are great resources providing home-visitation services as well as community transportation and outings. Do you have a loved one who may be lonely? Try to put in more effort to spend time with them.

How Old Are Your Arteries?

Your arteries carry oxygen-rich blood from your heart to your entire body. When you’re young and healthy, they’re wide enough to allow the blood to flow through easily, and their walls are elastic, so they can expand and contract as needed. But as you age, your artery walls might harden, as plaque — made up of cholesterol and fat — builds up within them, narrowing the vessels. This process, called atherosclerosis, puts you at risk for heart attacks and stroke. The Meridian Digital Pulsewave Analyzer is an FDA approved cardio wave analyzer that measures arterial stress by tracking the way blood moves through the arteries. It’s non-invasive and takes only minutes to analyze.
