40th Anniversary Celebrations

We have many exciting activities coming up this year to celebrate our 40th Anniversary at Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. To commemorate we have already hosted a High Tea and conducted a ceremonial opening of our Patio and Vegetable Garden with a Volunteer Recognition BBQ. We recently launched a promotional video prepared by students from Vincent Massey High School in Brandon. We also recently hosted an Open House/Yard Sale/BBQ in August. We are also planning for an Open House for our sponsors and partners in October and the Official 40th Anniversary Celebration in November. Join the Club

Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. is a great place to meet people, learn new skills and have fun! Everyone is invited to get involved in: yoga classes, line dancing, exercise group, foot care, computer club, Men’s Club, Stitch N Chat, cribbage, clogging, technology training. We would also like to welcome our two (2) new Bridge Clubs at our facility. Some benefits of becoming an annual member include reduced rates for activities and a voice in the organization.

Make Your Donation Count

Did you know there are numerous ways to donate to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation? They include: 1) Through hosting a fundraiser. 2) To give thanks for care received. 3) To acknowledge someone special. 4) To celebrate a special event. 5) To honour the memory of a loved one. 6) Through corporate philanthropy. 7) Through planned giving in your estate/will. All donations made to the Foundation are used to purchase equipment and support programming at the hospital, making a real difference in the community. Book Club

Living Well with Arthritis: A Sourcebook for Understanding and Managing Your Arthritis Living Well with Arthritis is written by Canadian doctors for Canadians. Its authors, all respected experts in the field, focus not only on medications and complementary treatments, but also on management of the many aspects of life that arthritis can affect. Topics such as dealing with chronic pain and fatigue, developing emotional and social coping strategies, and managing relationships are all explored, taking readers through the steps of how the body is affected, and ways to manage the disease.

Men’s Club

Did you know that Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. has a Men’s Club? For approximately 2.5 years, the Men’s Club has created a workspace where like-minded men can work shoulder-to-shoulder. This club was created as a need to provide a safe space for men to meet weekly, share ideas, life experiences and provide value to Brandon. If you are interested in becoming a member to participate in workshops, presentations, games, small projects or just a friendly male voice, then please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or (204) 571-2050. The group meet every Wednesday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at 311 Park Avenue East in Brandon.

TAPS (Technology Access Program for Seniors)

Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. continues to work with the Vincent Massey High School students to provide iPad training every 2nd Friday to our seniors. Additionally, through community partnerships, we have recently hosted two (2) workshops addressing “Wills & Related Documents” through Patersons LLP and “Seniors Employment Info Session” through West-Can Human Resources. Dinner is Served

Dinner is Served is a healthy meal program offered by Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. For only $12.00 you will receive a home cooked meal delivered to your home by our faithful volunteers. We have a menu of seven different meals that you can pick from each week. They are to be ordered on a Friday and will be delivered on the following Friday. Check out our menu on our website or

Out to Lunch

Join us at Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. for our “Out to Lunch” get together, every Friday at noon. Only $13.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members for a delicious home cooked meal. Please call 204-571-2053 to book a seat.

Look for Local at Sobeys

Lepp’s Family Farm is owned by Janelle and Daniel Lepp in Elm Creek, Southern Manitoba. They both come from a long line of family farmers stretching all the way back to 1879 on Janelle’s side and 1926 on Daniel’s. Emergency Lock Box

Have your ever asked yourself, how could I be rescued if my door was locked? Time is of the essence during a fire or medical emergency. Install a Lock Box – a small weather-resistant metal box that securely holds a set of keys. Should an emergency occur while you are unable to open the door or get out of the residence, Brandon Fires & Emergency Services can access your property without having to break in.
