In today’s distracted world, where people are panicked when they don’t have instant access to their electronics, face-to-face meetings can be a foreign concept. When getting to know someone, it is important that they feel you are giving them your undivided attention. Cell phones need to be on silent and put away while on a date. Communication needs to be real. Take the time to call them and have a real conversation. Do an activity on your date where you have ample time to get to learn more about the person.
Eye Care for All-day Computer Users
Depending on the study, 50 to 90 per cent of people who are on their computers a lot experience issues with their eyes, including eye strain, red eyes, and eye twitching. Unfortunately, those of us using computers for work can’t just turn them off and walk away; we need to find ways to care for our eyes in spite of our computer use. The first step is to get an eye exam to evaluate how your eyes are doing today. After that, there are actions you can take to protect your eyes as much as possible, such as reducing ambient lighting and using floor lights rather than overhead fluorescent lights.
How Old Are Your Arteries?
Your arteries carry oxygen-rich blood from your heart to your entire body. When you’re young and healthy, they’re wide enough to allow the blood to flow through easily, and their walls are elastic, so they can expand and contract as needed. But as you age, your artery walls might harden, as plaque — made up of cholesterol and fat — builds up within them, narrowing the vessels. This process, called atherosclerosis, puts you at risk for heart attacks and stroke. The Meridian Digital Pulsewave Analyzer is an FDA approved cardio wave analyzer that measures arterial stress by tracking the way blood moves through the arteries. It’s non-invasive and takes only minutes to analyze.

Stroke is the No. 2 cause of death worldwide, which means it’s important to know the warning signs. Remember F.A.S.T. (face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty or slurred speech – if you see any of these signs, it’s time to call 911). Other signs that someone is suffering from a stroke include sudden vision loss, a severe headache (caused by swelling in the brain), dizziness or imbalance, and nausea and vomiting (both of which are very common early signs of stroke).
