Freedom at Any Age

These days the mobility market is full of possibilities. Rather than being confined to the inside of your home or relying on friends and family to take you out, consider the freedom of a mobility scooter. Battery powered scooters have come a long way and are now more affordable than ever. They provide the freedom to get around, they conserve physical energy, and they also provide you access to places you may not have previously been able to go. Along with the freedom, mobility scooters offer an element of safety.

Healing with Reflexology

There are reflex points on your feet that relate to specific organs and glands in the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes using specific hand and finger techniques, reflexology therapy can relieve tension, improve blood circulation, and support the body’s efforts to function optimally. The benefits of reflexology include its ability to stimulate nerve function, increase energy, boost circulation, induce a deep state of relaxation and eliminate toxins from the body. Your feet will love the pampering and you may feel calm and a sense of well-being.

IBS Awareness Month

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common health issue affecting 13-20% of Canadians. Symptoms can include abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, and diarrhea. People of all ages are affected, and typically more women than men experience symptoms. The cause of IBS symptoms can sometimes be difficult to pinpoint, but several parasites and bacteria have been linked to symptoms, and the brain has also been found to play a large part in the condition. Bioresonance therapy is a safe and effective option for helping to provide relief from the inflammation and irritation related to IBS symptoms.

Cordless Phones – The Elephant in the Room

While most people have heard the connection to EMF exposure and cell phones, few think twice about the cordless phone sitting by your nightstand. These phones are now almost always DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication) phones. Almost all DECT base stations send microwave radiation 24 X 7 and can account for a large portion of the wireless exposure in a home. Many scientists believe that this disrupts our brain’s intercellular signaling which accounts for many of the adverse health effects that people experience. For a more restful sleep, these phones should have no place in a sleeping area such as a bedroom – and better yet – think of switching these over to a hard-lined (old style corded) phone.

March is Nutrition Month!

Nutrition Month is a great time to consider the importance nutrition plays in our day-to-day lives. This year’s Nutrition Month theme centres around the idea that nutrition and healthy eating can look different from person to person. You may have special dietary restrictions based on one or more health conditions, or you may require a special diet to meet your unique nutrition needs. Proper nutrition is important for your overall health and may help prevent chronic health conditions. A trained home care provider can help with in-home food preparation to ensure your meals are nourishing and tailored to your needs!

Are you the parent you wished you had?

It’s common to have at least a few things that you wish would have been different during your childhood. Have you ever stopped to think about what beliefs and habits you carried on from your parents that might not be serving you or your children? Moms and dads, just like you, can identify old ideas in their belief systems that no longer serve them, do the emotional healing work and raise a new generation to flourish in healthier ways. Unsolved loss, which means unsolved pain, limits our life, steals us from the opportunity to be an example for our children of how to live life in a full way. It is recommended that you find an action-based, powerful, directed approach to healing from life’s deepest heartbreaks.

The Do Diet

When we think about eating better, we often think about what we must take out of our diet – usually the things we like most! What if, instead of starting with a mindset of restriction, we start with a mindset of abundance? What if we were to focus on adding foods in, rather than removing them? This is a suggestion I regularly share with my clients and a first step that many find easy to do. Here are the top 10 foods I recommend adding as part of the Do Diet: fruit, green tea, dark chocolate, omega-3 fats, nuts & seeds, mushrooms, plain Greek yogurt, avocado, olives, and sweet potato.

Simple Balanced Nutrition

What does balanced nutrition mean to you? We are bombarded daily with the latest ‘science’ that is relentlessly moving our nutritional targets. How many times have you heard you must eliminate one of the big 3 macro nutrients? Clearly, we STILL have not learned that method doesn’t work long-term. A good mantra is to ‘keep it simple’. And for those who might need help in balancing nutrition, Sunrider’s DAILY WELLNESS PACK does that in a very simple way. It’s loaded with whole foods that have the proper balance of proteins, fats and complex carbs. Reach out to learn about Sunrider’s MONEY BACK GUARENTEE!
