Overcoming Holiday Season Overindulgence

If you’ve overindulged this holiday season, here are some great tips for getting back on track! 1) Practice modified intermittent fasting – start by eliminating nighttime snacking to help support fat burning and better sleep. 2) Increase fibre in the diet for good colon health and binding fat-soluble toxins so they won’t get reabsorbed. 3) Start your day with some warm/room temperature water infused with citrus, cucumber, herbs, ginger, etc. to support fluid intake and liver/kidney health. 4) Practice yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong, or Tai Chi in the mornings to breathe and get blood/lymph moving. 5) Do a sugar detox.

Now is the time to discuss plans and consult with professionals. Being a family caregiver can be stressful. Often, we are balancing care for an aging loved one with the needs of our own children, grandchildren, work, or other commitments. Care needs can be relentless. As you begin a new year, consider how professional in-home care for an aging loved one will improve their quality of life and support you as well.

Live Blood Analysis

Darkfield microscopy is a form of live blood analysis that allows the practitioner and patient to have a detailed look at the individual’s health. A singular drop of blood gets suspended under the microscope and projected onto a screen. From there you can see and analyze what your blood consists of and view any deficiencies or abnormalities that may be present. Darkfield Microscopy shows nutritional deficiencies, gut problems, underlying infections, bacteria presence, autoimmune reactions, and much more. Microscopy was invented almost 400 years ago and has expanded through technology such as video cameras and monitors, that now allow for immediate, beneficial visual information.
