Eliminate Pain & Regenerate Joints

To eliminate the pain of any form of musculo-skeletal injury and to regenerate any joint, especially with osteo-arthritic elements; acupuncture and Prolozone injection therapy are my treatment protocols. Each component of Prolozone therapy has a specific biological purpose. Procaine acts to re-establish cellular membrane potentials. Anti-inflammatory agents decrease edema and swelling. The inclusion of vitamins and minerals provides necessary substrates of oxygen utilization that in damaged tissues are often deficient. And finally, oxygen utilization is directly stimulated by ozone. In many cases Prolozone actually corrects the pathology of the disorder, there is a 75% chance for the chronic pain sufferer to becoming permanently pain free.

With the sun shining and more time on our hands than expected, don’t forget to get your SPF on! It’s easy to think we don’t need SPF when going for short walks, getting the mail or driving. Ask The Expert

Q: My glasses keep fogging up because of the face mask I’m using. Is there any way to make this better?

A: There’s no magic fix to this. You can try obtaining anti-fog lens treatments or try coating your lenses with a bit of soapy water and letting them dry before you put on the mask. Some masks allow for a tight fit on the bridge to prevent breath from going upwards, or perhaps your mask can be vented downwards. You may need to get your frame adjusted to allow proper ventilation.

Ease Cold Symptoms Naturally

When you’re stuffed up, have a cough/sore throat, and are just feeling fatigued in general, you can look to a natural remedy to help ease your symptoms – essential oils! Not only are essential oils a great way to treat your symptoms, but they can also sometimes shorten the duration of your cold. Eucalyptus oil can be used to help ease breathing by clearing congestion, and camphor oil can help treat any aches and pains. Tea tree oil is a great disinfectant for surfaces and the air, and lavender and chamomile oils can help you get some sleep!

Should you Bring Mom or Dad Home?

If you have a parent who is in hospital, lives in a retirement home or in a long-term care facility, you may be asking yourself, “would Mom or Dad be safer staying at home with me temporarily?” Families across the country are struggling with this dilemma. Given the challenges of preventing disease transmission, some experts are recommending that seniors who can stay elsewhere should do so. If you want to bring a senior parent home temporarily but you’re worried about how you’ll provide the level of care they need, consider home health care services.

Class IV Laser for your Injuries

A therapeutic dose of light applied to injured tissue leads to a cellular response that reduces pain and inflammation and speeds up the healing process! The primary target is the cytochrome c complex which is found in the cell mitochondria. Cytochrome c is a vital component of the electron transport chain & as laser light is absorbed, cytochrome c is stimulated, leading to increased production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP)/energy within the cell. Nitric Oxide is also produced which improves microcirculation in the damaged tissue, delivers oxygen, vital sugars, proteins, & salts while removing wastes. WHERE THERE IS BLOOD FLOW & ENERGY THERE IS HEALING.

Re-Entry into Physical Space

By now, many of us have become really great at physical distancing, in our own space, trying to limit our contact with others. Some have appreciated the opportunities to disconnect, while others may have struggled with a lack of support. As we await physical proximity, many people may experience some feelings of anxiousness. This can be a very normal response, as our systems are overwhelmed with uncertainty, even though we want to see friends, family and loved ones. Allow yourself to acknowledge this has been hard. Try to be kind to yourself, and your take time. But most importantly make contact.

Coronavirus & Your Mental Health

What should you do if your mental health is suffering during self-isolation? Here are some tips: 1. Maintain routine. It helps to manage anxiety and will help you to adapt more quickly to this current reality. 2. Engage with Nature. Make the most of any private outdoor space you have. Getting sunshine is imperative for a healthy mind. 3. Try something new. Now is a great time to learn how to sew or tackle a DIY project. 4. Limit your news intake. A near-constant stream of news reports about an outbreak can cause anyone to feel distressed. 5. Stay connected. Download a video chat app and have fun chatting with friends and family.
