Held each year on July 24, International Self-Care Day (ISD) is an opportunity to bring awareness to the importance of self-care. Self-care is anything that one does to stay healthy, both mentally and physically. This can include practicing good hygiene, eating nutritious foods, getting enough exercise and quality sleep, and tending to one’s emotional and spiritual needs. It is an important first step in preventing many diseases and conditions. ISD activities are held around the world each year and can include things like concerts, organized walks, sport matches, self-care classes, and media events. How will you celebrate ISD in 2019?
