Men’s Fertility Matters Too

When couples begin trying to conceive, the focus often falls on women’s health, but male fertility plays an equally important role. Research shows male factors contribute to nearly half of infertility cases. Lifestyle habits such as poor sleep, smoking, stress, alcohol use, obesity, and poor nutrition may all impact sperm quality and reproductive health. The encouraging news is that many of these factors are modifiable. Small, sustainable changes like improving sleep, eating nutrient-rich foods, exercising regularly, and reducing stress can support fertility and overall wellness. Preparing for pregnancy is a shared journey, and caring for men’s health before conception matters more than many people realize.
