Tips to Mitigate Alzheimer’s & Dementia

The most important thing to know about Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia is these are not normal conditions of aging. More than 20 genes have been identified which affect a person’s risk of developing either condition. Although we cannot change our genes, there are some things we can do to mitigate some of the risk factors; *Getting regular exercise, *keeping your mind active by keeping your social connections active, *quitting smoking and *reducing or eliminating your alcohol consumption are a few preventative measures.
