What’s Going on In Your Brain?
While psychiatrists are able to make educated diagnoses based on symptoms and insights gained through appointments with patients, they sometimes don’t have the opportunity to see the brain in action. Brainwave Optimization provides clients the chance to observe and follow changes in their brain frequencies as they start to notice a decrease in anxiety and panic attacks and an increase in their sleep quality and quantity, all without the side effects that can sometimes come with medication use. As one client described, “I’ve come out of the fog and I feel sharper than ever.
Bowl for Kids Sake
Bowl for Kids Sake is a fundraiser held at Valley Bowling Lanes, where people like you get together with friends, family, and co-workers and have a fun time bowling in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Pembina Valley. These events bring the whole community together with one common goal: raising money to keep the mentoring program running. Teams of four can sign up for 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 4:00 p.m. time slots to have fun bowling for a great cause. This year, the theme of the event is Make Your Dreams Come True, and participants are encouraged to dress up in their favourite Team Canada attire or as their favourite Olympic sport.

Colon Hydrotherapy – Help your Body Detoxify
Today’s average diet promotes constipation and poor bowel function. Most of us try eating healthy food and getting plenty of exercise but sometimes it is just not enough. Colon Hydrotherapy cleanses and tones the entire 5’5” of the colon after a series of treatments. Results can include more energy, improved concentration and focus, clear complexion, and a boost to the immune system from whole body detoxification. By removing low fibre foods that linger in the colon, weight loss can be jumpstarted. When choosing a colon hydrotherapy provider, look for one that uses the most advanced equipment available today boasting the best sanitizing and safety technology.
Celebrate Aging!
We often hear the negative about seniors in our society, rather than celebrating them. Seniors offer wisdom and life experience integral to the fabric of a vibrant community. They contribute by shopping, using services (keeping people employed), and paying taxes. Seniors volunteer and make more charitable donations than any other age groups do. Many organizations could not function without them. Additionally, they help with babysitting and caregiving for spouses and friends, ultimately helping others to successfully “age in place”. Take the time to acknowledge the contributions made by seniors. By making our community more age-friendly, we can all play a role in inspiring more intergenerational understanding and connection.
Combining Medications
People often don’t think about over-the-counter (OTC) drugs when a health professional asks if they are taking any medications. OTC drugs can include things like pain relievers, allergy medications, and even herbal supplements. Mixing doctor-prescribed and OTC medications can present numerous problems related to dangerous drug interactions. Interactions can cause simple reactions such as rashes, or more serious reactions such as difficulty breathing or seizures. Certain ingredients in medications can also overlap, meaning the patient is ingesting more than the recommended amount of a certain ingredient. To prevent dangerous interactions between OTC and doctor-prescribed medications, tell your pharmacist or health professional about ALL drugs and natural products you are taking.
Do You Have a Valentine?
Do You Have a Valentine?
Are you single on Valentine’s Day? Although it is only a day, it is representative of where your love life is at. Finding yourself single can be very isolating in today’s couples’ oriented society. People often start out with online dating and become increasingly frustrated and disappointed with the games and lack of accountability. As a professional matchmaker with over 24 years of experience, I have facilitated thousands of successful love connections that are still going strong many years later. As a matter of fact, I just received a call from a couple I matched 22 years ago. They called to thank me and let me know I enabled them to live a life of love.

Purify Your Home
Do you believe poor air quality resides outdoors, in largely populated cities? Actually, we should look at the quality of air in our own homes, where we spend 90% of our time. Dust, mould, paint fumes, cleaning chemicals, and cigarette smoke get trapped indoors and harm our bodies over time. It’s important to remove stale air from our homes.
Change furnace filters regularly and have your duct system cleaned. Breathe easy and reduce your risk of illness by ensuring that ceiling vents aren’t blocked, and schedule annual maintenance appointments for your furnace and air conditioner before starting them up for the season.
Healthy Valentine’s Day
Is the person you care about constantly on the go and always juggling multiple tasks? The body is not capable of differentiating between life-threatening stress and minor stress. Accumulated stress can do more harm than you realize in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. Making the time to take care of the body is a critical skill. Not to mention that reducing stress levels can improve the immune system and aid in sleep quality. If your loved one is not capable of making time for themselves, why not give them the gift of a relaxing spa experience this Valentine’s Day?
