Get your Hearing Checked!

Most people with hearing loss can be helped by daily use of properly chosen and properly fitted hearing aids. Current hearing aid technology is very sophisticated and effective. A trial period of several weeks with hearing aids allows you to experience amplification. Your hearing care professional will coach and explain the process as you go. If you suspect hearing loss, reach out to your local Hearing Care Professional for help with your hearing and have your hearing tested. We recommend that all adults over fifty years of age should have a baseline hearing test. Contact us for a complimentary hearing test and consultation.

Loved Ones This Easter

Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and reflection. As we gather with loved ones, it’s also an opportunity to remember those who have passed. Their memory lives on in the traditions we uphold, the love we share, and the quiet moments of remembrance. Whether lighting a candle, sharing stories, or simply holding space for grief, Easter invites us to connect with the souls we miss. At Branch & Pyre, we honor these cherished loved ones, celebrating the bond that time cannot erase. May their memory bring comfort and peace this Easter season. Can Spring Affect Sleep Apnea?

Spring allergies and sleep apnea are closely linked, as nasal congestion from allergic reactions can worsen breathing difficulties during sleep. Allergic rhinitis causes inflammation and swelling in the nasal passages, restricting airflow and increasing the likelihood of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Poor airflow forces individuals to breathe through their mouths, which can lead to dry mouth, snoring, and disrupted sleep. Additionally, allergies can contribute to airway inflammation, making apnea episodes more frequent and severe. Managing allergies with antihistamines, nasal sprays, and air purifiers can help reduce symptoms and improve sleep quality, leading to better overall health and well-being.

Nutrition for Oral Health

Maintaining good oral health through diet involves consuming foods rich in calcium, such as dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified foods, to support strong teeth and bones. Incorporating vitamin C-rich fruits and vegetables like oranges, strawberries, and bell peppers aids in gum health and collagen production. Crunchy, fibrous foods like apples and carrots help clean teeth naturally by stimulating saliva production and scrubbing away plaque. Limiting sugary and acidic foods and beverages reduces the risk of tooth decay and enamel erosion. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day helps rinse away food particles and keeps the mouth hydrated, promoting overall oral health.
