Why Strip and Wax Floors?

Stripping and waxing your floors can help make them look new again and last longer over time. You should have your floors regularly stripped and waxed to: 1) Prevent lifting – over time, water and dirt can cause floor tiles to lift and become loose due to weakened glue. Waxing can help block water and dirt from entering cracks. 2) Prevent scratches – regular stripping and waxing can get rid of unwanted scratches on tiles and form a protective layer. 3) Prevent discolouration and staining – constant traffic can wear down the protective floor coating and cause discolouration. Regular waxing helps prevent this.

Reiki – Release Stress and Tension

Reiki offers deep relaxation and helps the body release stress and tension. A reiki treatment gives you time to yourself where you are ‘being’ instead of ‘doing’. Clients report feeling more clear, peaceful, relaxed, and lighter in themselves. Reiki provides a space where you can be more aware of what is going on inside your body and mind. You can learn to listen to your own body and make wise decisions about your wellbeing. Being more present in your body helps you to access the inner knowing and wisdom that we all have!

Oral Health Month

April is Oral Health Month in Canada and a great reminder to practice good oral hygiene! Here are five tips for maintaining good oral health: 1) Make healthy food choices and limit sugary and highly acidic foods to avoid tooth decay and acid erosion. 2) Don’t smoke or use tobacco products, which can stain teeth, cause gum damage, give you bad breath, cause tooth loss, and even lead to oral cancer. 3) Brush twice and floss once daily. 4) Make note of any oral issues you have, including sensitivity, bleeding, pain, or strange lumps. 5) Visit your dentist regularly.

Microflora and Healthy Teeth

Dental hygiene is extremely important to our overall health! Chinese medicine connects each one of our teeth to different bodily organs and structures, so if you want a healthy body, you need healthy teeth. An imbalance in the microflora in the mouth and gut and/or a lack of vital minerals may contribute to cavities. If the gut flora has more yeast or harmful bacteria, the body won’t be able to absorb needed nutrients and minerals. Luckily, tissue salts and homeopathy can help balance microflora and aid in the absorption of minerals, helping our teeth, and therefore our body, heal.
