Boost Performance & Prevent Injury

Warming up before a round of golf is essential to improve performance and preventing injuries. A proper warm-up also reduces muscle stiffness and the risk of strains, especially in the shoulders, back, and wrists—key areas used in golf. It increases blood flow to muscles, enhancing flexibility and range of motion, which helps you swing more smoothly and accurately. Additionally, warming up also mentally prepares your focus and concentration on the course. Taking even 5-10 minutes to stretch can make a big difference in your game and overall comfort.

Health & Wellness in Every Project

Renovating or Building isn’t just about materials and blueprints—it’s also about creating safe, healthy environments that support physical and mental wellbeing, ensuring regulations are followed, and the end result is efficient yet welcoming.  From addressing safety and mobility concerns, to improving indoor air quality, addressing circulation and ventilation, to incorporating more natural sun light, larger more functional areas to ergonomic design to save money spent on utility bills.

Ask The Expert

q: I’m so glad for the summer daylight now! I’m looking forward to it – is there any harm in going without sunglasses? I think it’s much more healthy to absorb sunlight without them.

a: No, it’s better for your eyes to protect them from the sun. Prolonged exposure to UV light increases the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, skin tumours on the eyelids, and changes in the conjunctiva. The miniscule amount of Vitamin D produced by the eyes through sun exposure does not justify the long-term risk.

A Collaborative Plan for Your Injury

It can be frustrating when getting treated by a single practitioner for weeks with no end in sight. At Origin Integrated Health, we go for a collaborative approach! We offer you an individualized treatment plan to follow that most often involves collaboration between experts in the field. We treat the cause of your pain and focus on strengthening your imbalances in motion. We call upon:
• Myofascial techniques and Class IV Laser with a Chiropractor
• Inter-muscular Stimulation or Acu-Stimulation with a Physiotherapist or Acupuncturist.
• Active Rehab with an Athletic Therapist or Kinesiologist.
• Injection therapy with Naturopaths and Acupuncturists.
Let’s make you a master plan to get YOU BETTER!

Baby Boomer Recognition Day

Baby Boomers Recognition Day is August 17. We couldn’t be more thrilled to honor a generation who are among the largest population in the country. The “Boomers” (1946 – 1964) are now between the ages of 61 and 79. Theirs was an eventful era; early Boomers were prime instigators of cultural movements and significant societal changes, and powerful forces to be reckoned with, they lived through a number of significant events: first generation to receive polio immunizations, first manned space mission and first lunar landing were also witnessed by boomers. Baby Boomers represent almost a quarter of the population.  We celebrate you!
