Pet Health: Fleas
Fleas love fall weather, leaf litter, mulch piles, dark warm areas and our homes. They attach to our pets for ride into our warm and cozy houses. Fleas are also avoiding frigid Winnipeg temperatures. A single adult female flea in her three week lifespan will lay fifty eggs a day, totalling approximately one million eggs. In ideal conditions warm and humid (our homes), eggs will hatch in fourteen to twenty eight days, become adult in five to ten days, and begin laying eggs!!
Over the counter flea control products are pesticides, often ineffective, costly, toxic to cats, not environmentally safe and kill only the adult fleas. The safe and effective option is medication. The medication has no ill effects on our pets, easy to apply, odour free, and kill the entire flea life cycle. The medication is a simple once a month application. Contact your veterinarian and be flea free!

Ask Patzer Centre – Arthritis Pain?
Q: Kelly from River East “What can I do to relieve this constant, nagging pain from arthritis? The creams and pain killers seem to help a little, but only for a short while and sometimes not at all.”
A: “The fastest and most efficient method of relieving arthritic pain that I have found, is through the use of Far InfraRed Heat, which not only brings relief more quickly but also brings longer lasting relief. In the short-term, it warms and relaxes the muscles, increases Nitric Oxide which dilates blood vessels to improve circulation which in turn brings faster relief to the affected area. The long term benefit comes from the reduction of swelling and inflammation by the break-down of painful deposits of lactic acid and calcium in muscles and joints. It is important to drink lots of water to help flush these elements out of the body.”

Microcurrent Facial Toning
We all know that going to the gym is great to keep the body fit and toned, but until now there was really nothing we could do to exercise the Face. Now You Can. Microcurrent Facial Toning uses a very low level of electricity, the same amount of current the body itself produces to exercise the muscles of the face and neck to lift, sculpt and turn back the clock to a more youthful appearance that you once had. As we age gravity takes over and everything starts to drop or stretch out like an old rubber band that has lost its elasticity. Facial Toning uses small electrical impulses to exercise or plump up the muscles of the face and neck to strengthen the elastin and collagen fibers. For your best results a series of treatments are recommended. Current Expressions www.currentexpressions.ca
