(By Cindy Matychak, Spiritual Author, Advanced Life Coach, Reiki Master.) You are not who you think you are. There is much more to you and your world. In Regaining Who You Are you will discover why you are here and what you are being asked to heal in this lifetime.

Magnesium Deficiency?

Symptoms of Magnesium deficiency include restless leg syndrome, irritability, and insomnia. Some experts estimate that over 80% of the population are deficient in Magnesium, while others argue it’s closer to 95%. Either way, the statistics aren’t good, and it is something we need to remedy. That’s where Magnesium Premium Lotion by Pure Joy Naturals comes in. This gentle concentration of magnesium chloride is a nourishing natural skin product which is fragrance-free and contains Arnica essential oil for effective symptomatic relief. It takes advantage of the absorptive properties of your skin (your body’s largest organ), putting it to work so you can reap the benefits.

Get Energized!

Boost your pre or post-workout by incorporating chlorophyll-rich greens with coconut MCT into your daily routine. Studies have shown when taken before exercising, coconut MCT may reduce lactic acid buildup and encourage the body to burn more fat instead of carbs for energy. This can be found in a greens powder formula at your health food store and added to smoothies or water. Taking it in the morning can also make you feel more energized throughout the day. Look for a greens product with coconut MCT and maca for sustained energy, plus shelf-stable probiotics included to lighten your supplement load!

Treating Autoimmune Diseases

In autoimmune diseases, the body attacks and damages its own tissues, often without a clear cause. Examples of autoimmune diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease and more. These diseases can affect all areas of the body. Naturopathic approach to autoimmunity includes looking the at the person as-a-whole. Many aspects of a person’s health can be investigated to help restore balance to the body. The areas of the body that need support include immunity, inflammation, gut health and toxicity. These need to be treated in order to maximize healing and balance the autoimmunity.

After the Wedding Bells

It’s wedding season; a time when couples happily tie the knot and begin to take the first steps towards consolidating their finances. Once the excitement of the wedding is behind them, couples will have to decide how to merge what were once two very distinct financial lives into one. What works best for some couples doesn’t work for others, so it’s important to have an open discussion about spending, debt, budgets, and bank accounts. A skilled Investment Advisor can work with couples to determine their financial habits and take the stress out of mingling their money as they move forward.

EMDR for Treating Trauma

Trauma isn’t only military service, abuse, natural disasters, etc. Those are “Big T” traumas, but there are many “Little T” traumas like car accidents, witnessing a crime, or sudden death of a loved one. Trauma is anything that overwhelms our capacity to cope. Left unprocessed, those long-ago traumas can still affect our perceptions and decisions today. It’s uncomfortable to address them, certainly, but that is the only way to be released from their grasp and move forward. EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can help this process faster than traditional talk therapy, without the need to talk much about it beforehand.

They are designed to help locate the user in a variety of situations – home or away, indoors and out. It really is possible to get out there and enjoy life with peace of mind.

Can Everyday Activities Cause Hearing Loss?

We are exposed to noise on a daily basis that can contribute to hearing loss. The risk of damaging your hearing increases with the sound intensity which is measured in decibels (dB) rather than the loudness of the sound. Examples of everyday activities, and their corresponding decibel levels • Normal conversation – 60 dB • City traffic (from inside car)-80-85 dB • Listening to music on your smartphone, especially at maximum volume-105–110 dB • Standing beside/near sirens-120 dB. Noise above 85 dB over a prolonged period may start to damage your hearing. Learn how to protect your hearing health!

Seniors and Stress

Chronic stress is harmful to people of all ages, but its impact on older adults can be particularly severe, increasing the risk of age-related diseases, hastening cognitive decline and even triggering falls. Stressors that are common amongst the elderly include: loss of control, personal loss, declining health, financial worries, personal safety and loss of independence. To reduce stress, get regular exercise, eat balanced meals to ensure the mind and body are properly fueled and ask for help. Talking with a trusted family member, friend or healthcare professional, at the very least, releases pent-up stress and may even lead to a solution.

Dentures and Tissue Irritation

Are your dentures irritating your gums? If your dentures do not fit properly, they can chafe the gums, causing irritation. Tissue irritation can make your dentures so uncomfortable, it’s practically impossible to wear them because of the pain. Practice good oral hygiene habits. Remove your dentures every night and use a soft-bristled brush to brush your gums, tongue, cheeks, and the roof of your mouth. Maintain regular checkups with your denturist and if your dentures become loose, have them looked at as soon as possible. Loose dentures can cause irritation that can lead to sores and infection.
