With June being Men’s Health Month, it’s a good reminder to emphasize the importance of dental health for our senior fathers. Good oral hygiene affects speaking, eating, and social interactions, contributing to overall mental health. As one ages, issues like gum disease, dry mouth, and tooth decay become more prevalent and can be linked to chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Encourage the men in your life to maintain regular dental care with fluoride toothpaste, flossing, and professional cleanings. A healthy diet and open communication with their dentist about new oral health concerns are crucial. Celebrate men by supporting their journey towards maintaining a healthy, vibrant smile.

Ask The Expert
Q: I have some Transition (photochromic) lenses and sometimes only part of a lens will get dark in the sunlight. Why would this happen? When I get them checked out they always seem to work properly.
A: Beware of how your lenses are shaded from the sunlight. For example, wearing a brimmed cap outdoors can produce uneven illuminance on the lenses, which will make the lenses unevenly dark. If you like wearing ball caps, these lenses might not suit you well. These versatile lenses are often very comfortable to wear, so consider a larger brim or no hat at all when you’re wearing them. If you need advice about purchasing lenses, come see us at Mosaic Optometry!
Strength Beyond Limitations
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and chronic pain require a thoughtful, personalized approach to movement and wellness. Because every body experiences pain, instability, fatigue, and mobility challenges differently, no single program works for everyone. Customized training focuses on improving strength, stability, and body awareness while respecting individual limits and recovery needs. Gentle, progressive movement can help reduce pain, support joint function, and rebuild confidence without overwhelming the body. This approach also supports individuals recovering from injury or living with ongoing pain conditions. By combining education, functional exercise, and holistic wellness strategies, clients can build resilience, regain independence, and improve overall quality of life over time.
Neural Therapy
In today’s fast-paced world, chronic pain has become a common experience for many. Whether it’s due to an injury, medical condition, or simply the stresses of everyday life, finding relief can often feel like an uphill battle. Neural therapy involves the injection of certain substances to break the cycle of chronic pain. The improved blood flow and reduction of inflammation in the treated area promote tissue repair and regeneration. Prolotherapy increases blood flow to a damaged area such as ligament, tendon, or joint which helps to reduce pain and regenerate new tissue. Safe, minimally invasive, and focused on lasting relief, not just masking symptoms.
Healthy Spaces Start Here
A clean home and office do more than look good, they support better health, focus, and overall wellbeing. Dust, clutter, and germs can trigger allergies, spread illness, and create unnecessary stress. Regular cleaning improves air quality, reduces bacteria, and creates a more comfortable environment for everyone. In the workplace, an organized office can boost productivity, morale, and professionalism. At home, a tidy space promotes relaxation and peace of mind after a busy day. Simple habits like sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming regularly, and keeping spaces organized can make a big difference. A cleaner environment helps people feel happier, healthier, and more energized every day.
Energetic Healing Beyond Limits
We are in times of profound change, and it begins within. Experiencing fatigue, disrupted sleep, mental fog, dizziness, overwhelm, or conversely an unexplained sense of excitement, renewal, or other unusual experiences? You may be in personal transformation. At Make a Wave, we combine esoteric and energetic frameworks with therapeutic processes to restore balance, deepen understanding, and unlock what you have sensed deep within all along. Sessions may include grounding, emotional and lineage clearing, soul retrieval, energetic calibrations, and guided journeys beyond the veil.
Benefits of Sound Baths
Sound bath meditation offers a unique way to relax the mind and body through calming vibrations and soothing tones. Using instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes, a sound bath helps reduce stress, improve focus, and encourage deep relaxation. Many people find it easier to meditate when guided by sound rather than silence. The gentle frequencies can also support better sleep and emotional balance. Whether you’re new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, a sound bath is a peaceful experience worth trying.
GLP-1 for Diabetes & Obesity
GLP-1 medications are a class of drugs used to treat type 2 diabetes and, more recently, obesity. They mimic a natural hormone that helps regulate blood sugar, slow digestion, and reduce appetite. This leads to improved glucose control and, for many patients, significant weight loss. These medications are typically given as injections and are prescribed alongside lifestyle changes like diet and exercise. While they can be highly effective, they may cause side effects such as nausea or digestive discomfort. GLP-1 therapies are becoming an important option in supporting patients with long-term weight and metabolic management.
