Micro-needling is a natural, minimally invasive treatment that stimulates your skin’s healing power. Using tiny, sterile needles, it creates micro-injuries that trigger collagen and elastin production – essential components of youthful, healthy skin. This treatment is ideal for anyone seeking to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone, and smooth out texture. It’s highly effective for fading scar tissue (including acne scars), supporting rosacea-prone skin, and enhancing overall complexion. Safe for all skin types and tones, microneedling offers a gentle yet powerful way to rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck and other areas. Have questions? Talk to Doreen, your acupuncturist.
Do I Need Sunscreen in September?
It is important to wear sunscreen on exposed skin every month of the year. The UVB, or sunburn rays, are less intense in the fall and winter but can still damage your skin and cause skin thinning, skin cancer, wrinkles, and brown spots. A sunscreen of SPF 50 is recommended when you are outdoors, and it should be reapplied every two hours. If you are inside and away from windows, a reapplication may not be necessary. Be sure to use a generous amount! If you have never used sunscreen, it is not too late to start. It can make a big difference at any age.
Neuromovement® for Pain Relief
Neuromovement® group lessons are also known as Transformational Movement Lessons. Participants are asked to move gently and slowly, and to pay attention to what they feel as they move. It is not about the number of repetitions or effort given, but about feeling connected to your body and moving with ease. These lessons can help relieve muscle tension and pain as well as improve balance, posture, flexibility, and coordination. Lessons are designed to help the brain learn new movement patterns and make new neural connections. Online group lessons start September 18th. It’s not too late to sign up.

Meet the Practitioner: Chrissandra Unger
A few years ago, I was feeling burnt out, processing some past traumas, and had low energy. A lot of self-care and energy adjustments were deeply needed. I read about Biofield Tuning, which made me curious to see what it could do for me. I found an amazing practitioner, and the results were remarkable—my energy returned, and I was able to set more heart desires in motion. I self-cared and studied this method and became a Biofield Tuning practitioner. I now help people with anxiety and depression, energy renewal, fear and grief, adrenal fatigue, and more. Contact me for a free consultation.
Cholesterol: The Good and the Bad
Cholesterol travels through your blood on two main carriers: low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). LDL is the “bad” cholesterol, as it can lead to fatty buildups in arteries, increasing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. HDL is the “good” cholesterol, helping carry LDL away to the liver for removal. Triglycerides, another type of fat, store excess energy but, when high—especially with high LDL or low HDL—raise heart disease risk. Understanding your cholesterol numbers is key to prevention and wellness. Speak to our Pharmasset’s team today to learn how we can guide you toward better heart health.

Easing Arthritis with Anti-Inflammatory Foods
Incorporating anti-inflammatory foods into your diet can help manage arthritis symptoms naturally. Fatty fish like salmon and sardines are rich in omega-3s, which reduce joint inflammation. Colorful fruits and vegetables—especially berries, spinach, and broccoli—are packed with antioxidants that protect tissues. Nuts, seeds, and olive oil offer healthy fats that support joint health. Whole grains, such as oats and brown rice, may lower levels of C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation. Green tea contains compounds that may slow cartilage breakdown. By focusing on whole, nutrient-rich foods, arthritis sufferers can experience less pain, improved mobility, and better overall wellness.
Arthritis Awareness Month
Arthritis encompasses over 100 diseases that cause inflammation in the joints or other areas of the body. These conditions fall into two main categories: osteoarthritis—the most common type, caused by cartilage breakdown—and inflammatory arthritis, an autoimmune disorder. While arthritis can affect almost any joint, it most often impacts the hips, knees, spine, and fingers. This chronic condition may be constant or recur over months, years, or a lifetime. Symptoms range from mild discomfort to severe pain and can lead to disability over time. Speak with our pharmacists to discover treatments, strategies, and supports that can help you manage arthritis effectively.
Financial Fitness
Financial fitness is like physical fitness—it requires consistent effort and smart habits. Start by creating a realistic budget to track income and expenses. Build an emergency fund covering 3-6 months of living costs to protect against unexpected setbacks. Pay down high-interest debt to free up money and improve credit. Consider options like a reverse mortgage if you’re a homeowner aged 55 or older—it can provide extra income by tapping into home equity without monthly payments. Automate savings to grow your wealth effortlessly over time. Review your goals regularly to stay on track and build a secure future.
