Relationship Conflicts?

Be curious when you find yourself in conflict. When there’s conflict in a relationship, each person’s reactions are connected to their own life experiences and learned behaviors. Sometimes reactions in present-day conflicts are unconscious and more intense than what’s called for, because the situation has triggered old emotions and beliefs from past upsetting or traumatic experiences. Emotional wellness can be enhanced by methods like EFT/Tapping, which allows us to gently discover the root of why we react the way we do in certain situations and LET GO of the old emotional attachments, so we can be more peaceful in the present.

Women’s Health – Pregnancy & Beyond

The transition into motherhood can present both physical and mental challenges. Pelvic floor issues are common among women, both pre- and post-baby, but are not normal. Some symptoms include pelvic pain, incontinence (leakage), overactive bladder (urgency, frequency), pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti (separation of the abdominals). Many women also struggle adapting to their new role and associated body changes post-partum. Stride’s physiotherapy, massage therapy, and psychology services can help address the whole self during and after pregnancy to allow you to accomplish your daily activities and active lifestyle.

Product Review: Advances in Contact Lens

Every day our eyes are challenged by changing light that causes us to squint, shade our eyes, or turn down screen brightness. ACUVUE® OASYS with TransitionsTM adjusts to challenging light environments, such as when playing sports, working under uncomfortable office lighting, or adjusting our eyes to digital screens or TVs. They reduce the stressful impact that light can have on your eyes, by reducing squinting so you can squint less and see more. They are also designed to offer the highest level of UV protection in contact lenses, blocking 100% UVB and >99% UVA.

Jin Shin Jyutsu & Fertility

Various forms of traditional oriental medicine, like Jin Shin Jyutsu, have been used for millennia to treat infertility by restoring and maintaining harmonious balance of the body’s energy pathways to help resolve problems associated with infertility. It can re-establish the flow of energy, after which physical symptoms may be resolved and reproductive functioning restored. For example, a severe disturbance or blockage resulting from our stress levels can lead to disruption of egg production, fertilization and/or implantation of the fertilized egg. Receiving JSJ, as well as doing self-help JSJ practices, can help restore balance and address these issues.

Words to Live By

“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

Using Acupuncture to Reduce Anxiety

Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time, but we don’t have to live with it. Although usually triggered by something in our environment, our bodies have the power to manage the anxiety once they remember how to self-regulate our hormones. Acupuncture helps slow the production of hormones that cause anxiety, helping the body naturally regulate chemical balance. There are few, if any, side effects, and acupuncture can eventually replace anxiety medication for some individuals. While many people feel better and experience positive results after just one session, it typically takes a series of acupuncture treatments to create long-lasting change in the body.
